Best Buy - Took my item and won't return the charge.

houston southware store #213. Today I bought a dvd recorder(open box), I took home, tested unit and won't work (dvd drive won'y eject). took back to Bestbuy 30 min later to return the item. Bestbuy claim that I broke the item, or the unit is not the right unit in the box and won't refund me. they also keep the item and told me not to come back again. I am filing to BBB, and other site to inform people not to buy from best buy and getting my credit card company to dispute the charge. I will not shop at best buy ever again.

Don't think that would happen. Did they ask for your ID when you returned the item?

If you refused to give them your ID, they wouldnt give it back to you due to business policy. Next time bring your ID, or stop stealing stuff.
