Samsung Australia - Disappointing phone

Phone was suggested as best phone for my upgrade, from iphone 5 which never had any problems with... I always have a cover on it and has not been dropped. Firstly had a charging problem which came down to a fautly battery which needed replacing! Secondly I placed screen down and it broke the lcd screen which cost $310 which no way should have broke, Thirdly phone is not recognizing usb or charging cords, phone wall port, computer or car, which is needing me to send away.. Seeems as though the phone is faulty or not as good as written and described about as I havent had trouble with phones before.
