Baggage handlers stealing baggage

American Airlines #897709
Or, you know, the baggage was accidentally mis-routed which does happen. You want to call it irresponsible/careless that's fine. But I think it's jumping the gun to go from a bag at the wrong airport to theft. If the company wanted to steal your bag why tell you what airport it's at? Sure, you aren't going to fly there and check their story/confront them but they could have just told you "hey it's missing we have no idea where" if they were really so keen on stealing from you.

So then why baggage handlers ask if there is any valuable otmens, yea I kmow about mis ship luggage. But with todays technical services, pretty hard to miss read Phoenix, Az to another country. No there is no excuse for mis routed luggage, with the scanners and technology this day, either the handlers are *** or can not read. No excuse? Especially when after 20 calls to the airline, no one knows where my baggage is! No one knows where it is at. So what would you call it? Please don'f insult my intellegence. When someone asks if you have any valuables in a suitcase? Then takes the baggage and then poof in to the black hole. No excuses anymore for them any more. You pay for them to make sure they don't screw up. Mis routed, no not like this anymore. This is what service you get when 2 failing companies merge, just more and often now because you have no choice anymore.

Oh god I have to go 8 hours without playing my new game. Why not show up at midnight if it's a midnight launch? It's not called a midnight to 2AM launch. Also, midnight launches are a courtesy performed by the store and are not corporate policy hence why each store decides if they are going to do one because to some it's not worth it. So these guys had to work their normal 8 hour shift, then wait around 3 hours so antsy gamers could get their games early, and when the last die-hard leaves their store go figure they are tired and want to go home and deservedly so.

Best Buy is not going to reimburse you for your business, that is not their problem. You may think it is because the computer they sold didn't work but that blame would go on the manufacturer. Also, the argument can also be made if you run a business that needs a working computer you probably should have a backup.

Best Buy #895047
Wrong. This is why a manufacturer's warranty exists. After the 15 day return/exchange policy at Best Buy if he did not buy a protection plan (which he didn't by his own admission) it is then the customer's responsibility to contact the manufacturer and have THEM replace the unit which is their responsibility. That's why a manufacturer's warranty exists, to have the manufacturer not the store replace a product if it fails before the expected date. It is not called a STORE warranty, it is a manufacturer's warranty.

Macy's would not waive a $27 late fee

Macys #895041
Doesn't matter how many times you are late or pay on time, if you are late you are charged a late fee. I have been late sometimes on credit card payments too, I suck it up like an adult, pay the fee because I'm the one who was late and move on with my day. Seems like others would rather whine and say how it's not their fault. Despite the fact that they received a bill weeks before the payment was due and says right on the bill when payment is due. Despite a long history of knowing how credit cards work and failing to make arrangements when circumstances arise. I could go on but really it just boils down to pay on time or pay the fine.

So the exchange rate changed and you expect money back for the difference when RH has NO CONTROL over the exchange rate? Let me ask you something, if the exchange rate went the other way and RH refunded you more than the original purchase amount would you have given the money back or said anything? And because this was a decision of decor change it is normally YOUR responsibility to pay for return shipping and NOT get your initial shipping back, so yeah they were doing you a favor. Why should any company pay for an item to ship to you and back to them just because you changed your mind?

As far as the Need for Speed game every retailer uses the same retail policy on video games: You open it you bought it. All they can do is exchange it for the same title because it's very easy to bring a game home and rip a copy and the store has no way to know whether or not you did this, so EVERY store will only allow an exchange for the exact SAME game. It's been this way for years.

Actually if you read the return policy you would not only see this information, but also see that if you simply take the item to the store you will receive the refund in cash.
A refund will be issued in the form of cash if returned to a store. If returned by mail, a refund will be issued in the form of an electronic Target GiftCard OR a physical Target GiftCard.
You can convert your eGiftCard into a mobile eGiftCard to be used with your smartphone both in stores and online.

Netflix #894110
Well, Nextflix doesn't have a way to fix this because it's not a Netflix problem. The account is fixed on the device, meaning you need to remove it on the device. So you would have to remove Netflix from the blue ray player, then reinstall it at which time it will then need an account and that is when you simply put in your information. Netflix does not have a way to sign in and out with multiple accounts on one device because this is a downside to their security protocols/trying to prevent multiple users on one account.

Best Buy has a 15 day return policy. After that it's a manufacturer's warranty issue. There is no reason for Best Buy to take that microwave back. PREDATORY FEES AT MACYS

Macys #893305
First, Department Stores National Bank is the account holder for your credit card, not Macys. They are the ones who make the rules regarding fees, interest, etc.
Second, according to your Macys credit card agreement: The fee will be $25; or $35 for any additional past due payment during the next six billing cycles after a past due payment. However, the fee will not exceed the amount permitted by law.
And third, that law about the maximum being $25 says: In its final rules issued in June 2010, the Federal Reserve Board got more specific: It decided those who make one late payment will be assessed a $25 penalty instead of the $39 that was commonly charged before. A second late payment during the following six billing cycles will result in a $35 fee.
So there you have it. Macys charged you a perfectly legitimate, non predatory $35 late fee. Try paying on time to avoid this.

First of all, TURN OFF YOUR CAPS LOCK.
Second, if you made a mistake on a check write VOID on it and throw it away before you mail it. Banks are very picky about what is written on a check. Go figure they don't want to accept what could be a fraudulent check (which a check looks pretty suspicious when it has multiple mistakes crossed out on it), so when the bank would not accept your oddly written check Macys declared the payment late.
How about paying online if that makes things easier? Nothing to cross out.

I personally like the FastPass + system, but I can certainly see how and why some people don't like it. And I do agree shutting down the stand-by line is not a good move. If people want to stand in line for 70 minutes that's their business, and it may cut down on complaints about wait times but now Disney will have complaints about not being able to wait at all. Sorry your vacation didn't work out/go as planned. Hope the next one is a lot smoother.

Kohls #891087
Agreed, retailers HAVE to refund the original method of payment. You cannot create a credit on a Visa card when a Mastercard was used for the purchase. However, here's where things get tricky. Technically Kohls could have refunded the credit onto the original card even though the account was changed/cancelled due to identity issues. What happens then is the bank who owns the account is responsible to then send you a check for the refunded amount. So the question is which would you rather have? A $100 gift card or a check that takes 10-14 business days to get to you?

Just so you know a secondary authorization is not uncommon with online retailers, so you may run into the same issue with other online shopping entities.
Also Walmart does not make up the rules regarding the authorization and when it drops off, that is determined by YOUR bank. Walmart doesn't have that money, it was an authorization and one that was never completed. It may be possible for your bank to release the hold early since it is their timeframe of 7-10 business days, but this is unlikely.
(Not only that if the order had gone through you would have had to pay the $350, so if you can't afford to be without that money placing the order might not have been a good idea in the first place)

And as a passholder you can visit anytime you want, you just may not get to ride a particular ride that day without a Fastpass. Be an adult and deal with it.

Foxnews cancelled...DirectTV must be liberals that hate the truth in news so they killed FOXNEWS

DIRECTV #887795
The 1st Amendment says congress shall make no law prohibiting free speech. DirectTV is a private company. They can choose what channels they air. That's not a violation of free speech, that's called free enterprise which is another grand tradition of our country.
If you want to cancel and boycott DirectTV, that is your right. If others join you then DirecTV may bring back FoxNews because you have affected their profits and to make customers happy they would then provide them with what will make them happy (yay capitalism).
But taking FoxNews off the available channels is NOT a 1st Amendment rights violation. Not only that it may have nothing to do with their political views and likely it doesn't. More likely than not it's simply a business decision that DirectTV wants more money from FoxNews and is taking them off the air until they get it. Removing a channel happens all the time in TV broadcasting as a negotiation tactic and has nothing to do with political agendas.

Unless you tested every air mattress Walmart sells "all inventory (nation wide) should be pulled from the shelves until they can fix the problem. Wal-Mart chooses to continue to sell defective products off it's shelves!" is a ridiculous demand to make of any store. Just because the one air mattress you happened to buy was defective does not mean they all are and certainly does not mean they should pull all the merchandise.
Also like Ransom said, after 15 days you need to go to the manufacturer and deal with whatever warranty they provide. The manufacturer are the ones who should stand behind the product, they are the ones who made it. Walmart didn't make it they are a retailer plain and simple.

Walmart canceled my order without probably cause!!!!!! Now have to wait 5 to 7 working days for my bank to refund my money

Walmart #886667
Every online retailer works with authorizations. You place an order, the retailer asks your bank if they can charge for the item, the bank authorizes the purchase. However until the item ships they cannot put an actual charge through. So if an item is cancelled you have the authorization which will then fall off after the appropriate time (5-7 business days). Again, almost every online retailer works this way. And the 5-7 business days is not Walmart's fault, that's your bank. Walmart gets nothing for an authorization. So if you want to blame anyone blame the bank. Also you may try calling your bank and see if they can cause the authorization to drop off sooner but it is unlikely.

Your bank then says "Let me check". However until an item ships Light in the Box cannot actually charge for anything. So what will happen is after so many days the bank will say "What happened with that money you wanted?" Light in the Box says "Nevermind it was cancelled" and the authorization will then fall off. it may be possible to call your bank and see if they can speed up the drop off but this is unlikely.
