Joann Fabric - Fabric Review from Doylestown, Pennsylvania

JOANN Fabric #871222
Because until the item ships no one knows. The warehouse doesn't keep track of exactly how much fabric they have, that's a logistical nightmare and beyond reasonable expectations. So until the fabric is in the box ready to ship, they don't know they are short.

Kmart - Minnie Mouse Car Seat Review

Kmart #871219
Pricing errors may occur on the Kmart Site from time to time, on items sold by Kmart, or items sold by third party sellers. Kmart attempts to correct all pricing errors as soon as they are discovered, or as soon as Kmart receives notice of an error. Kmart reserves the right to cancel any orders containing pricing errors, with no further obligations to you, even after your receipt of an order confirmation or shipping notice from Kmart. Any payments you make to Kmart for orders that are cancelled due to pricing errors will be refunded.
Also stores do not match online prices. It is cheaper to have shoppers go online rather than maintain a brick and mortar store so online prices are cheaper. Not to mention stores match rival store prices to remain competitive. Kmart does not compete with itself.

Stores do not match online prices. Stores match rival stores prices because they are in competition with them. Target does not compete with it's (online) self. Also brick and mortar stores are more expensive to maintain than the online store, so the online store can charge less. But the bottom line is stores don't match their own online price.

Item Out Of Stock, No Communication

JOANN Fabric #870499
Depending on when they ran out of the second fabric there was likely no way to warn you. Website inventories are not real time. If there are 3 bolts left and 4 people order at/near the same time the website has no way to warn that 4th person. They did the best they could which was tell you what the warehouse was able to ship, because until that moment in the warehouse there was no way for anyone to know. And this isn't just Joann Fabric, many online shopping websites work the same way. The don't use real time inventories, it's way too expensive and still unreliable.

I disagree. When the time comes to ship the order and half the items are unavailable, then they need to come up with a change to their system that allows them to notify customers.
Fabric sales are unique in that the fabric is cut to order, so there they were, stuck with a piece of fabric they might not get to sell again or have to sell at a discount, rather make the effort to fix their system. Seems like a poor way of doing business, but if you've ever been in one of their stores it's par for the course.

Warning! Do not get the Kohl's Credit Card!

Kohls #869398
1) Capital One is the bank in charge of your credit card account, not Kohls. Capital One make the rules regarding interest, payments, credit limit, etc. So right off the bat you are complaining against the wrong company.
2) Even online payments these days take time to clear and process through your bank, it is not instantaneous. You can see this if you try and make a payment through your bank website. It takes a few days for the payment to go through so if you try and pay on the due date you will either be charged a large fee for immediate processing or unable to do it at all.
3) You know what day this payment was due, why did you wait till the last minute? Not only that you tried to make the payment after banking hours. Of course there's a late fee, you are late because there is no way for them to receive your payment before the banks close. Banks don't close at midnight, they close at 5PM typically, maybe 6.

Stores do not match online pricing. It is cheaper to have you order and ship the item to you online than it is to have them pay for rent, employees and utilities at the store. Because of that prices are lower online, but Target is not going to compete with their own website so they will not honor the same price. This goes for Walmart, Best Buy, and most big box retailers.
From Target's website: "Purchases made on Target.com are excluded from the store's price-matching policy."

A pharmacist is like any other business, and as such can choose who they do business with. If this pharmacist has had trouble with the particular doctor in the past it is within their legal right to refuse to fill the prescription.

Will NEVER place online order again!!!!

Kohls #867511
Actually having worked with a company like Kohls it is not BS they cannot get a hold of the distributor. The customer service end of Kohls is completely different than the corporate buying end of Kohls. The buyers in corporate are the ones who deal with the distributor. The customer service has 1) no way to contact the distributor by phone or e-mail since they don't know either 2) has no way to get that information from corporate.
You may then say "customer service should contact the buyers in corporate and have them deal with it". Customer service doesn't contact corporate for stuff like this, and if they did they would be yelled at for wasting corporate's time. Corporate expects customer service to deal with it, and the customer service team is given limited resources to do so.
I get Kohls screwed up. I get that whoever the first rep was should have had your items sent priority as she said she would. However to expect customer service to be able to contact the distributor is unrealistic. They simply will not/cannot do it. You may not think that is the way it should be, and you are entitled to that opinion as the customer, but Kohls sees your one shoe order and they are not going to bend over backward regardless of what you think of their customer service.

Walmart #865917
This is not Walmart only policy. Target, Walgreens, Publix, and almost every other store that sells alcohol now card EVERYONE. It doesn't matter how old you look. Often times the cash registers are programmed to not allow the sale unless an ID is scanned. This puts the issue completely out of the cashier's hands. Even ABC Liquor requires everyone to show ID. And that includes everyone in your party. My wife is certainly over 21, but ABC would not sell me alcohol unless she left the store because she didn't have her ID. So get used to the idea of always being carded and good luck finding a store that doesn't card you.

Kicking consumers out when they defend themselves against the rude employees

First, no. People with disabilities can either wait like everyone else, or if they cannot wait in line they don't need to go to Disney. Disneyland is a privilege not a right.
Second, you say she was "using profanity to defend herself". Disney is a family place and if they don't want someone using profanity that is their choice. And if they choose to kick out someone using profanity that is their choice and their right. Disneyland is private property and if they don't want you there they have every right to have you leave.
Also, you say she was accused of cutting line with her friend who has down syndrome. Were they cutting to join others further in line? Did she just decide to cut in line simply because her friend has down syndrome? Regardless of someone's disability it does not give your daughter the right to just lead them to the front of the line on a whim.

Would not accept return on fraudulent CD they sold

Best Buy #864869
This is disheartening to hear because I had a similar issue at Best Buy that was handled quite differently. This happened a few years ago: I purchased the Mortal Kombat movie soundtrack and nothing on the package seemed unusual. I get in my car, pop it in my cd player and find out the entire soundtrack is censored. No special sticker or label on the cd, it's not in a clearance or other odd section. I went back in the store to see if they even had another copy figuring maybe the record label did some screwy release which might be different on another copy (plus I knew chances were low they would take back an open cd). With no other copies and nothing else I wanted I went up to customer service and explained what happened. The girl looks to her manager who gave the go ahead. I got my money back, no problem. So it sucks to hear that Best Buy would not afford you the same courtesy.

No company is going to guarantee a product will work that they do not make themselves. Target is a vendor, not a manufacturer. A return policy from a retail vendor like Target, Walmart, Best Buy is simply a courtesy. It says "Hey, you didn't like/want that item or it didn't work we will take it back and give you your money". But that is it. It's not a guarantee. You want a guarantee, that is what the manufacturer's warranty is for. That says "For one year we promise this tv will work or we fix/replace it". Target is not the manufacturer. After the generous 90 day return policy you deal with the manufacturer or suck it up.

This is why when shopping online you don't hit submit more than once. That is Online Shopping 101. Also likely what you think are 'charges' are simply authorizations. When an order is placed online the vendor submits a request to the bank for an authorization. The bank then says yes or no. Once the vendor is assured they will be paid they then ship your order and at that time the authorization becomes a charge. So likely what you are seeing are simply authorizations which will drop off after so many days (the amount of time is determined by your bank and NOT the vendor).

These warehouses are 95% automated. There is not a bunch of people taking boxes from shelves and packing them. There are automated robot arms that do not stop, period. Also the call center is probably no where near the warehouse. So even when they open they can't just walk next door and stop your package. And the call center does not have a number for the warehouse. They send them an internal message asking for a particular order to be stopped. So now a handful of employees have to sort through hundred of packages to try and find yours.
It's just easier to say they can't cancel it.
