However, in my long experience B&D machines tend to have a short lifespan and yes, when they break or stop working, 'tis best to just bin them. The thing to remember nowadays when buying clothing, shoes, etc. is that you must---must physically try them on to ensure a good fit. You can only do this in a retail store. The benefits of a global economy and the fact that almost all of these things come from some foreign land with little-known quality controls. For years I wore a size 9 shoe regardless of style, etc. but in the past few years I can now wear anywhere from a size 8 1/2 to an 11/12. Gotta try them on before you buy.

If you were wise and used a credit card for online---and all other---purchases, just dispute the charge. If you used a debit card, you can dispute the charge, but you are out the money until the dispute is resolved in your favor----good luck on that. However, they will be charged a dispute fee of roughly $25 imposed on merchants to discourage customers disputing things like this. Good luck.

That's their right, of course but I will remember them for the future. Bottom line is that if you rarely used the card, you probably didn't need it anymore anyway.

Never have I seen one of those "pocket hoses" work more than a short period of time without bursting, developing a leak of some sort in the hose itself or at the connections. Wander into a big box or hardware store and buy a best quality 50 or higher foot hose made by a name brand. They last for years, and will stand up to being left in the sun, although it is really not recommended as, let's face it it is made of vinyl and with some rubberized components which do tend to dry out and cause problems eventually. People buy these pocket hoses because they look nice and small and are cheap. Yes, they really are cheap.

All medical providers, eg., dentists, physicians, etc. must deal with many, many different medical and dental plans and cannot possibly know any of them that well. It is always up to you, the insured to know what the plan covers and does not. I am guessing, but your plan probably covers the cheapest type of filling and the dentist put in a more expensive and thus durable filling as part of a routine of best practices for the patient. Next time you need dental work or medical work, read your insurance policy's covered and non-covered procedures and your co-pays. The buck stops with you is the bottom line. And, no I am not Harry Truman.

I agree with you, partially. I've worked in healthcare for 15+ years. Our plan is Specifically "Western Dental Insurance Plan through CCPOA." It is sold and administered through Western Dental themselves. So they know it pretty darn well. Of course it was to their advantage to handle it the way they handled it. But per my review, I am thankful that this, plus their terrible customer service is all I have to complain about. Come open enrollment we are selecting a different plan.

Over the years, however they have descended into programs that appeal to the current generation of public school graduates and thus have to be shallow, simple and juvenile. If you want real history programs, go to YouTube and search for "UFOs", "ancient history" or on any subject you want. You will have many, many programs and subjects to choose from. A couple come to mind: Ancient Architects and Mystery History. Click subscribe to the channels you like and you will be informed when they add new programs/subjects to their channel.

Well, they couldn't "take the money from my credit card" as you say because that's not how a credit card works. A debit card works in such a dangerous way. When using a credit card to buy something, your card account is charged for that amount and then you have to either pay the card's balance due at the end of the month or make the minimum payment which starts your paying very high interest rates on the unpaid balance(s) until you pay it off totally. So, what kind of card did you actually use?

Your problems with the belt can be caused by a number of things, of which a bad/loose pulley would be number one to check on. I don't know who sets up this brand of mower for Lowe's, but frankly I would question that part of this whole scenario. I believe the local John Deere dealer sets that brand up for the big box store's JD mowers, not some mope at Lowe's. You could have a good repair guy check out the deck and it's components to see what the problems might be if you can find someone. Next mower, wander in to your local John Deere dealer and buy one from him. You will get a John Deere and also good service with a warranty. I wish you luck.

Thank you - I am pretty certain it needs to fall back on the person putting them together at Lowe's but they literally WILL NOT help me any further so my only option was to go to Husqvarna themselves. I am not a mean person at all, but this has gotten so ridiculous. I have been paying for a broken mower because it has sat up more than it's actually been used. Just annoying! I had originally went for a John Deere but was talked out of it by family members, I should have went with my gut instinct and got that one instead. If I can get a refund I will most likely go with them! Thanks for your kind words - Hoping something is done soon and I can cut again before it starts getting cold!

The key point in buyiny any appliance is to buy the basic model with no bells and whistles; decline any extended warranty offer; and when it breaks and you cannot fix it yourself, just junk the old one and buy a new one. Places like Lowe's will take the old one away for you for a nominal charge---they used to do that for free, but that is now history. Maytag does make some good appliances, but remember, the more expensive the machine with more bells and whistles, the better chance something will go awry.

If you purchased the machine from your local JD dealer, wander in and ask them for help in leveling the deck. Even if you bought if from a big box store like Lowe's they may help you. Else, do a search on YouTube for "JD(insert model and deck size)how to level deck." The process is not difficult, but YouTube has a ton of videos on all sorts of maintenance you can do on your green machine.

The main thing to keep in mind is to never, never use a debit card to pay for things you buy online. Once the seller has your card info, you risk monies coming out of the account at the pleasure of the guy you gave the card info to. Always use a credit card as it is much safer, for obvious reasons. As for your particular problem, I suspect you are stuck with the loss. Dell does not have a good reputation in the customer service area and Microsoft is just the software developer and doesn't get involved in situations like yours.

You didn't say where or how you purchased the battery---via Amazon, with a credit card, etc. If thru Amazon, complain to them and they will help resolve the issue. If you were wise and used a credit card, then just dispute the charge giving all the problems with it, eg., defective and lack of customer service. If by debit card, well then good luck.

In this case, Terri's credit card was stolen and was being used to test out $1 purchases. Scammers will sometimes test out $1 purchases on our site and other websites to see if the charges go through - when they do, they will attempt larger purchases on other websites. In this case, the charge was refunded.
