Two weeks ago I tried to cancel, but was offered a much lower rate which I agreed to by telephone. Now they are stopping carrier delivery, cutting issues to 3 per week via snail mail and keep pushing the "E" addition which I said I don't use except Sat., which they discontinued delivery of last year.
I called and said I had been misled and on April 22nd, 2024 when the new policy starts, to cancel the subscription and refund the unused portion which would have extended to Jan. 31st, 2025.
They said no refund is the policy and no supervisor has the power to overrule this. Every-time I tried to explain the unfairness, the rep kept going back to a canned dialogue of how great the "E" edition is.

Still no answer from Claims
12/22/20 Still no response from Claims Agent.
Seven days later and another call directly to the claims rep who the operator IDd. Of course no call returned.
Week of 12/9. Now I have case number.
Called Claims(that's who handles this) three times including once hanging on for over an hour after woman wouldn't listen to the problem and finally cut me off. Left message all 3 times and of course there's been no call back.
12/8/20. Called Members Mark # which is really Sam's.
They can't forward to "Claims" without a claims number. Called back to store and person who filed the claim won't be back till tomorrow.
Had already removed over a dozen from other devices to prevent damage. Went through 3 levels till someone could help. Asst. Manager gave me a total refund for the batteries and explained that since the device wasn't bought from them, I'd be sent through another process.
He had me file a claim, and he took multiple pictures of the "mess". On Nov. 11 the remote claims person called and confirmed the details. He said that it would have to be approved by the manufacturer and he said I should get a call in about a week, but if not, he was sending his name and number via snail mail so he could follow up if necessary.
That never came so two weeks later I called the store, talked again to the Asst. Manager and he said all he could do was put the request through again. Frustrated, on Nov. 23 I found out that Duracell actually made the batteries.
I filled out their complaint form and included 3 documents from Sam's verifying what occurred.
Absolutely no response. The expiration date on the batteries was in 2026.

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with product replacement. The device was replaced with a different color since original was out of stock. The charger did not need replacement..
UPDATE: Got disconnected again, but this time on-line Chat worked. They will replace under warranty but don't have same color in stock.
I'm happy with another color. As soon as I receive it, I'll mark this solved.

OK. They've agreed to extend my Motor Trend subscription for the number of issues I would have received of Automobile.
I've now found out that Ten Publishing discontinued 19 of their 23 publications.
