B and B Sprinklers - Unreliable Business

Based on excellent reviews, I called this company to schedule an appointment for sprinkler repair, and talked to the owner, who was pleasant, but kept insisting that one BBB complaint against his company was not warranted. The appointment was scheduled for 1/15/20 between 9 and 10 AM, his 2nd job for the day, but I was told I would be called first since I have a Landline Phone. By 11 AM, no one arrived, so I called and left a voice mail to call me back if they had to reschedule as some jobs do run overtime. No one called me back, so a few hours later, I left an email on their website, but still no one contacted me in any way. A few hours after that, I called once more and left a second voice mail, but once again no one called me back. I was therefore stuck at home waiting for a phone call from this business, which never came, hindering me from doing other things. Needless to say, this is no way to run a business. They should pay me for wasting my time, as I do have voice mail if I was outdoors. Not showing up however, or contacting me in any way is not a legitimate excuse for any business, and should not be tolerated under any circumstances.

I ordered an Angel of Courage Statute to give as a Christmas Gift, but what I received was a damaged box, and broken Angel, plus it did not even look like the picture in the Ad. I called the Company and got Shipping, so left a voice mail and no one called me back. Then found the number for Customer Service so called them and explained my situation and that I wanted a refund. I had to repeat myself numerous times that I did not want a replacement, I wanted a refund. There was no packing list in the box and there was no return form, so I had Customer Service email me the necessary paperwork, so I could return the broken Angel. There was no reason to deliver the Angel in the first place, as the label clearly stated that the box was damaged, so should have been returned to the Hamilton Collection, not forwarded to me. Now I have to wait several weeks to receive a refund, which is over $100, so I say avoid this company at all costs, as they do not seem to be very ethical in the way they run a business. Also, plan to contact the Better Business Bureau to have my experience on record, so others know of my unpleasant experience.

My Computer Works - Ripoff and Lies

Main St. Computer Repair or its Alias My Computer Works.com advertised in my local phone book that they have same day repair, any day service, with no travel charges, except the company is located in Arizona when I am in Florida. They told me they could have a tech out the next day but not until 12 Noon. I told them I had no Internet connection, so they told me to get a flat rate from them as the repair would probably take several hours due to a virus, so I agreed to the $247 rate, but was also told they would pro-rate the charges if the repair took less than 1 hour. The tech was on time and it took him 15 min. to fix my computer, plus he took a photo of the time on my computer when he started, and another photo of the time when he finished, so he was ethical. He did not handle billing so I had to call the company for that. I was then told they do not pro-rate and the rate quoted was the rate my credit card would be charged, so I complained. Whomever I spoke to told me that he is only going on my word, so I told him that his tech took photos on his phone to prove he was only here about 15 min., so he agreed to charge me for 1 full hour instead of the flat rate, which was still over $100. I was promised a receipt, which I never received either, so called the company, was switched around playing phone tag until I finally got voice mail and left a message, but still did not get a receipt. I did however get an email from this company asking me to give them a good rating, which of course I refuse to do. This company lied to me from the very beginning to the very end, and asking for a good rating just proves their lack of ethics.

Amazon - Terrible CEO & Staff to Resolve Problems!

Amazon has a large selection of items for sale, but trying to return items from their Sellers is a nightmare, and Amazon only adds to the problem! I have had late deliveries, deliveries stating the package was handed directly to resident, when it was not, deliveries left on my furniture, which could damage my furniture, and Amazon telling me to contact the carrier myself, which is their responsibility. Trying to return an item to one of their Asian Sellers usually results in Amazon refusing to issue a refund because they did not bother to read the emails between the customer, Seller, and Customer Service Chat Line, who issued a refund, only to have it reversed later in time. Jeff Bezos the CEO tells customers to email him, but ignores these emails, and has his staff either call or email customers with excuses, usually late on a Sunday night, rather than during normal business hours. Their attitude is, that if you do not like how Amazon operates, do not do business with Amazon!

Well, Jeff at Amazon will be happy to know that I'M most definitely not happy with them. And I'll also be ending my 6years of being a customer that buys merchandise every month and had several subscriptions with Amazon every month!.

Jeff Bezos claims to read emails sent to him but it's a big fat lie. They just get passed to the same old customer disservice drones that any other email does.

Glad to hear that other Amazon Customers also had problems with the Amazon CEO, Jeff Bezos, and his staff, as that is no way to run a business, especially one as successful as Amazon! I contacted Amazon over and over again about the same problem, only to get excuses, so I finally contacted the Better Business Bureau, and they were able to get some results.

Resolved: Georgettes Custom Tailoring - Unprofessional Work !

Went to Georgette's Custom Tailoring, to have 2 dresses made. Gave the owner the material, along with a pattern and sample dress with $100 deposit. She told me the dresses were done the following week except to hem them. After trying them on, one was too tight and the other too loose, besides not looking like the sample! She claims it was due to the material, but the sample dress was knit too! The week after that, both dresses were too loose, and the hem on one was several inches longer on both sides, brought to my attention by another customer. That is when the owner finally pinned the dresses on me. During the holidays she was closed so I left a voice mail that I expected professional work for the money I was paying. When I went to pick up the dresses, she claim I was threatening her by saying her work was unprofessional. The dresses could not be fixed, so I donated them to charity.

Resolved: A1 Irrigation - Refuses to Listen to Customer !

Had A-1 Irrigation come out to give me an estimate on my Sprinkler System due to a water leak, which the plumber thought was under my driveway. Was quoted a price of $700 to install new pipe, and make the system more efficient throughout my yard. Upon arrival, I told them not to do any work until they let me know exactly what they plan to do, and how much it would cost. They failed to do so, which resulted in my paying almost $1,000. They did not replace the pipe under my driveway, only added pipe elsewhere, and moved the sprinkler heads in my flower bed, which was unnecessary! They did not do anything in my backyard, except fix a broken sprinkler head. When questioning them, I was told they would return, to do more repairs in my front yard, but did not address the problems in my backyard! As a Disabled Senior, I feel I was taken advantage of, so decided to get a 2nd opinion, and am glad I did!

Resolved: Millian Aire Enterprise - Overrated!

On 10/26/17 Millian Aire Enterprises Corporation came down to work on my AC, which had a strong air flow during the day, but weak air flow at night, plus took a long time to turn back on. Brett told me he had to open the air vents to correct the problem, and if I purchased a light bulb at 499 or 799 it would prevent mold and further cleanings. I agreed due to my allergies and breathing problems. What he installed was a Remi Halo UV Air Purification System for $799, not just a "light bulb for $7.99. He also insisted I write a good review for him on www.reviewbuzz.com, which I did not do! When I received my receipt, it said that I will be joining their maintenance club but not at this time. I said I would think about it, did not agree to join! The bottom line is that the same problem still exists with my AC, as Bret did not fix it. As for the Purification System, I could have gotten the same results with an AC Filter.

Life Line Screening - Ripoff !

Life Line Screening advertises a 6 Test Health Assessment on TV for $149, to diagnosis any health issues. If you want additional tests you have to take additional packages, as you can not order separate tests, so I had to pay $367 in advance by credit card, as soon as I signed up for the tests, that is not covered by Medicare. Once I arrived at the facility (a church) I was encouraged to buy additional packages of tests, for my liver and kidneys, etc., but I declined their "high pressure sales". My package was to include an Osteoporosis test, but my ultra sound only concentrated on my stomach area, nothing more! I was told that I would have to wait 21 days for my tests results, which would have to be discussed with my primary doctor, but given my blood tests results immediately, not indicating any health problems. Life Line Screening is not worth the money you pay for it, go to a Primary Doctor instead.

Resolved: IWS Shutters And Blinds - Incompetency By IWS Shutters & Blinds

On 5/4/17 I ordered vertical blinds for my windows, and plantation shutters for my French Doors, paying half in advance. The installation was completed on 7/11/17. From that point on, I had numerous problems with the products, so called IWS Shutters and Blinds who did come back to make necessary adjustments. It is now September, and I continue to have issues with these products. They did promise to come back and fix things right, but have been saying this all along. The bottom line is that I am tired of hearing their excuses, and want things fixed right! Needless to say, this does not say much for the competency of this company.

Marathon Carpet Restoration And Dye Systems - Inappropriate Behavior By A Business!

A few weeks ago, I hired Marathon Carpet Restoration & Dye Systems to water clean my carpet in 3 rooms. Was told over the phone that it would take approximately 3 hours to complete, but it took almost 8 hours, because the elderly owner spent most of that time subjecting me to his unwanted advances, even though I told him repeatedly that I was not interested! When I got my bill, the original estimate was more than double. I paid it, then discovered that the man left behind his notebook, so I called his office. They said they would send someone back to pick it up, so I made it quite clear that I did not want to deal with the owner! They advised me to leave everything on my outside patio, which I did, and called the Pinellas County Sheriff to report the incident, which is currently under investigation. The bottom line is that I hired this company to perform a service, not to " harass" me with unacceptable behavior!
