Doctor Suds in Kingsland Damaged My Yukon & Owner Denies

We stopped into Doctor Suds in Kingsland, GA for a $15 car wash. Not long after the car wash started something slammed into the passenger side of my Yukon. It hit so hard the glass rattled and the truck jerked. As soon as it happened, we heard an employee yell and the wash stopped. Our vehicle was covered in suds and we sat scared to move our vehicle in fear further damage would occur. Upon the car wash re-starting it guided our vehicle thru the rest of the wash. As soon as we pulled out we pulled over to see if there was any damage. There was a dent that went into our vehicles metal the side of a 50 cent piece and several other areas where the pain was removed and small dents placed. We alerted the staff who got the manager. The manager appeared dumbfounded and really did not have much to say other than the owner was out of town.He also stated they were doing maintenance. Who does maintenance to a car wash with a vehicle inside? He took some measurements of the height of the damage. Unsure of what to do in that situation we took some pictures of our vehicle and were told the owner would be back in two in three days and would be in touch with us. On day 5, with no contact from the owner, we contacted him. He acted as if he had no clue what the situation was and said he would "look into it" and get back to us. After a week with no contact we called back and he said "he had been busy" and asked us to refresh his memory about what we were calling about. He said he was going to view the camera view and would get back ahold of us. Several days later he called back saying he could not tell that any damage was done or what hit our vehicle because "the noise in the view was to loud to hear anything". He stated it was impossible for anything inside the car wash to have hit our car. I now have several areas on the passenger side of my truck that are down to metal that will rust if not repaired. The owner did not seem to care what so ever and simply brushed us off like it never happened. I am upset at the owners lack of concern and would hate to see someone else with a damaged vehicle due to faulty equipment.

I too may have had damage done to my vehicle on Sunday, November 27, 2016. I had the 18.00 wash, car #257 at 1:09 PM.

Upon returning home I noticed damage to the bottom driver's side front valance and returned to the car wash to alert them. The manager, Mark, asked me to return on the following morning when the owner, John, would be there. I was not able to return on Monday but did so on Tuesday. Mark was there again and he introduced me to Troy who he identified as the manager.

Try took a picture of the damage and took my phone number to present to the owner who he assured me would contact me about the apparent damage. It is now December 15 and I have had no contact from anyone at Dr. Suds. One would think that the owner of the business would strive to resolve any issues that arise.

Perhaps the damage to my vehicle did not occur at Dr Suds but on the other hand it may have. The business owner, whomever it may be, should reach out to his customers and promote good relations within the community instead of "blowing off" them.
