Dollar Tree Stores - Fake contest
They offer a so called contest, another ruse to get customers into their stores. All emails and calls to their corporate offices have never been responded to and I had sent many many over the years. I finally complained to my local attorney general's office a few months ago and just yesterday the results of my complaint came back. They do have winners in many states. However, in the state of Rhode Island, they falsely offer the contest upon the receipts but, in fact, they are not allowed to have their contest in RI. So why do they offer it on receipts in Rhode Island? Wasted much of my time in the course of 17 years playing their contest and always wondered why there was never any winners from RI. They need to take out the contest offer from the receipts in Rhode Island!

Vindale Research - Waste of your time
Vindale Research is online boasting of pay for filling out surveys. First off, they barrage ya with alot of emails offering surveys. But more than half the emails will reject you claiming you do not qualify after wasting much of your time i.e. will have you answering questions for much time then tell you you dont qualify. It can take a person a few months to build up a credit of merely 50.00 providing the person is willing to spend several hours per day getting told they dont qualify or filling out several surveys per day. I found out the hard way though, they are not going to pay ya a single cent. After a few months, I submitted my request to be payed from the money I built up. They deducted the monies from my account and never sent me a damn cent. I emailed several times, never got a response. Their phone number is automated canned responses and each response directs ya to email them with any concerns. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM!!! Most likely a scam solely to get their marketeers educated.

Caltric - Seller of Junk
First I bought a voltage regulator for my bike from this person who is a ebay seller. That regulator lasted only 1 week. I was told I needed to change the regulator and the stator at the same time. I then purchased both items from this seller, had them professionally installed and they lasted about 2 rides. In the first instance, not only did the regulator fail, my battery was fried as well. In the second instance, I bought insurance offered on the site of ebay at check out from a company called Square Trade. When the items from second purchase blew, I made a claim with Square Trade and Square denied my claim and told me to contact the manufacturer of the parts (like I knew who and where in China to call) and refused to honor the insurance contract I paid for. I contacted the seller, Caltric, explained that both parts failed, that it cost me 400. in labor to have the parts installed and that it will cost another 400. in labor to get the parts out. The seller, Caltric, was not helpful at all and besides his parts failing, my wiring harness and second new battery were damaged because of his junk faulty parts.

They finally made good. I didn't get my money back, but they did prioritize my item and sent it quickly only after a month and a half of sending altered mocks.....

In April, I went to a place and bought a used jeep. Before I took possession, i pointed out a rattle noise and was told it was only the heat shield. I was told in writing that I had a 90 day drive-train warranty. After about 300 miles of usage, a thumping started and each week it was progressively getting worse. I took the jeep back before the warranty ran out,. the seller took the jeep for a ride and came back and told me nothing was wrong. That was a deliberate tactic to avoid the warranty which was about to expire in a few days. The seller acted like he did me a favor by selling me the vehicle for 100. less than the excellent condition resale price. After 3 rainfalls, all the scrapes and defects on the body showed up. And 2 days after taking it home and the interior dried, water stains and other stains appeared. It turned out it needed a motor mount which the part alone was in excess of 539. which caused the heat shield bracket to break off and that the rear end needed repair in excess of 2000. (it was temp disguised with heavy grease instead of differential fluids). All my money was spent buying this vehicle and I even told the dealer before hand I was out of work and could not afford to immediately make repairs so plz put me into something that needs nothing. So now I have a vehicle that is good only for sit in the driveway to admire. ID

SWheat Scoop Just Scoops Your Money
I bought a bag of SWheat Scoop Cat litter. First off, it is very very expensive costing a lil more than double the price of same sized bag of other cat litters. The bag is marked in a few places , "100% Happiness Guarantee" and lists their toll free number as well as their website URL to call or visit if not satisfied. The bag boasts upon it as being a fast and hard clumping litter. This litter did not clump as boasted, it actually turned to mush when urinated upon. It is tracked easily and if dries wherever tracked to, especially upon furniture and carpeting, you are going to have a very hard time cleaning it up. I have a small cat that weighs only 6 lbs and a 40 lb bag of this *** lasted less than a week due to multiple cleaning out the litter box of constant mush (and the tidy cat and other similar brands 20 lb bags would last me 2 months plus. I have wall to wall in my home, it cost me 350.00 to have a carpet cleaning place come and clean the carpet and I had to toss my couch and stuffed chair because of the urine smell tracked and embedded into the furniture. When I called their toll free number, they were rude and insisted I was lying but yet refused to accept my proof of purchase and the proof of cleaning bill and the pictures I took of the damages. They offered me a discount coupon toward a next purchase of their product...yeah right! Like I would buy that *** again! OH, I FORGOT TO MENTION, THEIR WEBSITE DOES NOT HAVE A CONTACT FORM, A REVIEW PAGE/OPTION AND BASICALLY IS TRYING TO SELL YOU THEIR PRODUCT.

Facebook blocked and required a photo selfie for my account before I even got it started up. Then they sent me an email saying I could one click enter which led me to a post that said my account was disabled which led me to an appeal form that requires my license, birth certificate, passport etc.
I have not even been on this account so I can't possibly have violated any terms. I used my real name, real email, real photo etc.
I think they're just screwing around with folks for the fun of it now or worse they're collecting personal ID data to sell. Can't think of any other reason they'd want to stall new accounts.

If you use a store employee discount card the info will be missing as employees are not allowed tp enter the contests. Hope this helps you understand.

Square Trade does not offer protection during the manufacturer's warranty. But they do charge you for that period.
And they are very happy to do so. I think the legal term for this is called RIPOFF
