Granted the issue shouldn't have happened, the employees didn't purposely mismake your food... Reading a screen with 20 things on it can run together, if you think about it. First, answer every call and ask to be forwarded to a supervisor or higher-up. Get all their information... Name, extension, job title, etc. - Tell them to put your number on a do not call list.

If that continues to fail, look into FDCPA (Fair debt collection laws) and take legal action against them. If you end up having to go to court, and win, let any won money go towards your charity.

That company is the worst of them all for harassing everyone possible, even if you've never even met the people, to getting their money.

I'd suggest getting a debit/credit card for him after you get this sorted out. Greendot, Walmart prepaid, etc. etc. are all the biggest loads of cramp I have ever seen.

The account manager should have payed more attention, and this all could have been avoided... But if you want something done right, you have to do it yourself.

If Regions offers online banking, get it. Keep up with everything on there. Know what is in what account, and make sure you will be on overdraft protection.

Good luck getting the fee waived with large companies like that... Very few large companies like that even care about customer satisfaction anymore.

That may be true for whatever Ingles you work/worked for, but is certainly not the case at every single store. You may have to be a kiss ***, and apparently the manager at your store took that phrase a little too seriously. :grin

Did you ask a managers if they were able to get the item? I worked at an Ingles store and usually if a customer put in a request for a specific item, the manager would order it (if they were even able to get it).

I think Ingles is one of the very few stores that actually cares about customers needing a product made a certain way, especially with the Gluten-Free products. I'm sure you've seen the labels hanging under the price tags to make it easier on the shoppers who have a Gluten allergy.

I wouldn't know if Ingles just doesn't have the product, or the individual stores just don't have it. Either way, I'd ask the store manager first - and then maybe even call corporate, their phone number is printed on every store receipt. You could even post it on their Facebook page.

The thing about it is, I make time to check dates, I don't spend my time *** about everything that happened during my shopping experience, and guess what? I've never bought an expired item.

I'm pointing out stupidity in *** complaints. And no, Walmart employees are not uneducated or "trash"... Never once did I even say that, assuming that you are attempting to mock me. But the odds are against all the cashiers purposely double-scanning things.... It's obvious that anyone who assumes the employees doing something like this are at fault in every way possible that the person is lacking any form of logic. When if anything, they should complain about the company itself. :roll

Whether or not they changed sensitivity settings on the scanner, that is unknown... But USE YOUR COMMON SENSE. That many cashiers and other various employees will not be involved in any scheme to intentionally do something like that...

If they did, they'd demand a *** of a lot more than what they are getting paid. :roll

Don't have time to check dates? Then you don't have the time to complain.

And you especially can't run around blaming the staff... Walmart understands to the point that it's beyond ridiculous.

People have a list and get maybe an average of 10-30 things when shopping... And there may be 3 or 4 people stocking that check dates on items that apply.

You can't take the time to check dates on very few items, yet you complain when those few workers cannot check the dates on every last item in the store? Regardless of who gets paid to do it, you shouldn't complain when you can't slow down to look at 6 numbers.

Like I have been saying on here, You can get up to a month (if not more) extra out of items by looking at those 6 little numbers. And I'd rather have that as opposed to letting the item expire in a week, if not days, and having to send more to buy another item to replace it he next time I went shopping.

You say the excessive number of kids are keeping you from doing that... Why not get them a babysitter? Are they old enough to stay home? Have you thought of any way that they can avoid having to all come into the store?...o the store? I'm sure they don't all want to come in with you, anyways.

I love how everyone on here will jump into criticize those ones that are paid sooooooo much (mostly minimum wage - $9 an hour) to do multiple jobs... Yet they are just lazy, rude, hateful ***. :(

Just because a truck drives past your house doesn't mean the transport truck could have got it from point A to point B for the delivery truck to get it.

"Acts of God" can obviously slow down, if not completely stop, trucks on the road. There can be 3,4,5, or any number of transport trucks delivering to one facility for delivery trucks to pick up the packages...

Just because one truck makes it in, for example, 2 days from the East - does not mean that a truck coming from the west can make it in the same time. With that being said, the delivery trucks take out what has been delivered to them by transport trucks... How can a truck not deliver what isn't there to be delivered? :roll

1. If the card had an error, what was the cashier supposed to do?
2. It was all sorted out the same day by the welfare office, so it obviously was not the cashiers fault. He did not deny it, the register/card reader denied it. He did NOTHING, so should apologize for NOTHING.

If I was the cashier I would have laughed at you when you asked for an apology in this same situation. Be glad you got what you did with your food stamps, you shouldn't be complaining that you had a slight difficulty having the government pay for your groceries.

1. If this is the only foreign support you deal with, you either never call any support number or have very good luck.
2. Androids are not made by Straight Talk, the phone messing up isn't their fault. You should have looked into replacing it or getting another.
3. I don't blame them at all for not compensating you on the shipping. You wanted the faster shipping, it was optional and wouldn't have been used if you hadn't wanted it there faster.

But to their credit they understaff sometimes, too... Still no excuse for them... Just like the cash registers, 2 out of 30 of them are open, and 1 is usually the express lane :roll

Anyways, EVERYONE should check EVERY date on any food item like that... You know, they may even et a longer time out of the item if they just simply pay attention to it.

Just make sure you read everything top to bottom... Nothing like finding out it was in the finer fine-print and you overlooked it before disputing the charges.

It sounds like the whole store is just terrible, but thankfully my local one is great - it just seems understaffed. Usually there is one cashier (they have 3 or 4 registers), and another shows up as soon as a line starts building up in the front.

I never see anyone near the "Consultation" window, much less even see a need to have it there if they never use it. There is usually a person over in the photo section...

I cannot give an opinion about our Walgreens pharmacy, because I use locally owned businesses for that...

I would ask whether you have spoken to a manager, but from the sound of it the management "don hav ta hep" you, either.

If I ever go through the area, I'll be avoiding that Walgreens.

You should ALWAYS check dates on EVERYTHING. Don't be a "grab-n-go" shopper, use what little bit of common sense God gave you and quit complaining that you didn't think to check the expiration date.

Employees are probably spending most their time getting pestered by as?holes like you to the point that it is negatively interfering with their work, thus causing them to lack the time to be able to check every last single item's date that is on the shelf. :roll

Granted that it shouldn't even be on the shelf when out of date, things can slip by in a very large store like that... I have worked in a store's dairy section before and it has happened to me, only by a couple of days after the expiration date... But nobody picked it up, and one customer even pointed it out to me.

Needless to say, because of that customer paying attention and telling me (and not just making online complaints) the issue was corrected and the out of date items were removed and disposed of according to the store's policy.

OP, the point of my story is... Pay attention to dates on everything like that, this all comes down to you not using enough common sense to check the date. :roll

I know this was almost a year ago, but amen to everything you just said... People don't realize what "Baggers", in quotes because that's not even the job title anymore, go through on a daily basis just to keep the store running.

Well, considering 4/5 customers treat the employees like an absolute waste of a human life - it can ruin their day to the point that they want to quit and walk out the door. Try speaking to the employee with a smile, maybe they just weren't paying attention, or maybe they were just cussed out by an ungrateful customer for some *** reason...

As for the food, I will vouch that every store I have personally been to has actually had decent food out. I have not been to that particular store, nor a majority of them... But you can't assume that because 1 store does that, then every other store must do the same thing. That is just asinine logic. ,)

If you are still working there, I am pretty sure corporate won't like an employee (ie: the manager) taking products without paying for them...

You can always call the Ingles' Intergrity Helpline (there should be posters with the number, web address, and other information in the store). You can also make the report anonymously, which would be suggestible In this situation ,)

All you are going to do is ruin an employees day, nobody from corporate will personally come clean up your ice cream mess...
