Thor Industries - Do Not Purchase a Thor!
Update by user Feb 06, 2018

Just had a mobile repair company here to see why it was dead and stuck on its jacks. It needed all new batteries and a transfer switch.

Camping World said we were out of warranty and of course Thor does not care. We have only had the unit a little over a year of which...

Sounds about par for the course with Thor. I was lucky and pissed enough people off, I was passed on to a woman who used to work there, that actually cared some. She is now gone and Thor is a joke to try to deal with in regards to their very very short warranty

Camping World - 2016 Palazzo 33.5

I do not even want to give them one star! We bought a brand new Palazzo Diesel Pusher in November of 2016as of today April 7, 2017 we still do not have it. We drove all the way from southwest FL to Camping World in Pooler GA to get this, they assured us it was ready to go After driving 10 hours we arrived to find they really had not gone through it, slides were not working, among other things and the whole back panel was cracked. They acted like they didn't even know about it. It was so obvious the whole back panel was cracked. I convinced my husband to take it because they assured us they would have it fixed. That was just the start of the problems. It is in the Fort Myers Camping World since we drove it home and dropped it right off there . Savannah store will not even call us. I have put calls in to corporate also with no response. Thor is not any help either they just say it will be fixed. It was brand new and should never have been sold in the condition it was in. It was put together so badly that every time they say it is almost done something else is broken or defective. They took our money and our trade and sold us a damaged product and tried to cover it up. I would not recommend them Thor or Camping World. Buyer beware no one cares after the sale

As of today July 9, 2017 we have just used our motor home for only the fourth time, because it has been in the shop since purchasing it in November 2016 there are still things wrong with it and every time it goes back to camping world they keep it for months and we get it back and there are more things wrong with it and its dirty and our generator now has 80 hours on it! We don't even want to bring it back there again!

I have had same experience with our miramar 34.3 purchase in CT june 2016. Dealership sold deceptively with a 2 track slide system that malfunctioned 4 times.

After 4th repair to slide, I Refused to take back and Had to hire attorney.

You should do the same. I keep seeing everyone with the same problems....

Samsung Electronics - Inferior products, terrible customer service, Samsung Refrigerat

I purchased my Samsung Refrigerator RM255LASH from Lowe's on Christmas Eve (the only place open with a refrigerator we could take that day). It was the last one and a floor model, but we had no choice. Also, the price was $2,100, which is quite high for a refrigerator but again we had no choice. After three years, the icemaker stopped making ice. We did not do anything about it. Then it started leaking water but again we did not do anything about. I thought it had something to do with the icemaker. Then the freezer stopped freezing. Again, I procrastinated and did not call Samsung. In January of this year, it started making a horrible noise and stopped getting cold. At this point, I contacted Samsung because there are no local appliance repairmen willing to come and look at a Samsung refrigerator. There are no parts available to them. I had someone Samsung recommended to come out and look at it. It's something that should be covered by the five-year warranty. I was assured by two people at Samsung that they would take care of it even though I could not produce a receipt (my Lowe's receipt was completely faded). Now after three months of going back and forth between the appliance repair company and Samsung, they said they will not cover it unless I produce a receipt. After reading the many complaints about Samsung refrigerators, it seems to be the norm that they do not last for more than 3-4 years. They are overpriced and inferior products. I would warn people not to buy Samsung because of all of the above and also their poor customer service.

I have noticed the "vanishing receipt" problem several times. Apparently it has to do with the type of machine that prints the receipt.

You would think companies would switch to the type that has printing which does not fade, but I notice that it seems to be getting worse with more and more fading.

I guess the companies actually want them to disappear and don't care that customers have problems such as you are experiencing. I have now started to make copies of any receipts I think I might need as soon as I get them.

So far I have had only one company try to weasel out saying they wouldn't accept the copy, but a few complaints and a bit of local publicity (sometimes it pays to live in a small town where word can spread quickly) and they quickly changed their tune.
