La Terraza--acted like I did something wrong
I tried this Mexican restaurant because they deliver. I had them deliver before and never had any problems. The food was not that great, but I had no car at the time, so I dealt w/sub-par Mexican food over none. Anyhow, the problem started w/me changing my phone #. I called to put in an order. I gave them my new number. I specifically wanted them to have it, because sometimes it is hard for me to hear the door. No doorbell and a loud night. Game on, etc.... Having worked in restaurants, I try to be very patient and understanding. After quite a while (maybe an hour-the place is maybe a mile from me), I called. They told me no one answered. I asked why the driver didn't try calling. He did not have the right #. I explained how I had just given them my new #. They tried to argue w/me. They finally saw that they did indeed have my new number. I had them bring my food. I hate to think of what they could have done to it. I really wanted some Mexican food I guess. Anyhow. I do not recommend them. I have even tried eating in there a couple times. Poor service (even though we were the only people there). I don't think the people that work there really have a grasp on the English language. Broke down and figured I'd try the drive-thru. Bad idea. It took forever!! They actually had a tip cup taped outside the drive thru. I couldn't believe it!! I have not been back. I tried and tried to give them a chance, but they screwed it up just about every time.
Clear Internet - Clear--Always making up past-due $ owed
This company has done this a couple of times w/me. I just want to warn others. For those of you not familiar w/the company, they offer internet w/no contract. Just pay as you go. Thought that sounded great. Problem is, they keep trying to say I owe past due amounts. WTF!!??? There is NO way that I can think of where you would be in a situation where you would owe them money. Say your bill is due on the first. You don't pay. They shut off the service. They do give you a 2 wk grace period though, if you have a credit card on file. Just refuse to pay any past due amount if they try to get it. A while back I almost switched internet providers over a non-existent past due amt. No one could even explain to me how I owed them money when they cut the service off if not paid. They were literally just making things up. For instance when I was told in May that I owed them money, they could not explain when or how that happened (cuz it didn't). They were even trying to bring up something from Feb! When asked how I managed to have the internet in Mar, Apr and May, again they could not explain. They finally told me they would waive some of this imaginary money. Gee thanks!! Of course when I went to pay.....no one else knew. That's the short version. I ended up getting 3 mos at half off. So I stuck w/them. Then just recently, my bill was due on the 1st. I did not pay it. Even after the 2 wks. I really didn't have the money right then and was not very concerned about going w/o the internet for a couple wks or whatever. Well, after about a week or two I get a phone msg (automated of course) about a "special" re-activation plan. I figured that would be great. It took me calling THREE times to even get anyone that knew about the "special" plan. They called me initially!! Again, they offer the 3 mos. half off. Great. Until I get to the store to pay. Then there's yet another mystery past due amt. The bearded lady at the store had no idea. I did not pay it and still got the deal, but jeez!! To top it off all the customer service is located out of the US. It is very hard to understand some of them. Anyhow, if you ever use Clear, just beware. The service is okay, just be sure never to have it cut off and try to reconnect it. They will come up w/charges they say you owe, but can never explain how that is (because it's a lie)!! And yes, I know if I never had it cut off, would not have been in situation, but not the point.
