Charter Communications falsely charged us with illegally downloading *** and violating copyright laws.

Charter Communications sent a card through the mail notifying us of internet security issues...my mom called them to find out about it and they then told her that they are going to terminate her account for "neglectful" use. The following day she finds out that we allegedly illegally "downloaded" *** from both computers. This is absolutely FALSE. I can prove that I didn't break copyright laws much less illegally download anything. I don't do *** like that because it's not worth the penalties involved for starters. Secondly...they won't disclose how many thousands of dollars we "owe"...thirdly...they listed BOTH computers and this computer up here that I'm writing this from has never seen a *** site at all and the history on this can PROVE that...and I'm not talking about history that can be cleared away, I'm talking about what CAN'T be erased or altered. And besides the fact, I'm now hearing that they are NOT the ones charging us...it's the companies of some of these bogus sites...so my question is if whether or not Charter has anything to say about it if that's the case...but the biggest *** I detect is that how they ignore streaming of PPV events from people (which IS copyright infringement) but focus on the "***" use....sounds to me like someone is also trying to become a moral arbiter, something nobody is paying them to do, and I don't appreciate a company I solicit service from taking it upon itself to act as my priest, minister or parent(s), regardless if I am guilty of such things or not. Charter is a mediocre, substandard service at best and now they've taken to lying about what one user did or didn't do in addition to violating customers' privacy to boot... These guys are gonna get their *** SUED.

This isn't a Charter issue. Either someone is hacking into your network and downloading stuff that you are getting blamed for; or it's some type of phising scam that is trying to get you to pay money(I've seen this online).

If the notification is legit, it's due to whomever owns that copyright notifying Charter and saying that someone is downloading illegal stuff on Charter internet.

By law, if Charter receives this, they have to notify you. You can go to the Charter website and it will show you if the notification you received is legit.

Allstate DOES NOT protect you from MAYHEM.

I called Allstate to get new insurance so that I can get my plates renewed and it was supposed to be effective the day I bought it...I find out that when I attempted to get license plates my insurance was not current. So basically I just got two tickets totaling $485 for not having insurance information (from previous insurance) and expired plates...this is what I got because I risked it to finally get this car registered because I thought I was covered, just to find out that I wasn't...so I come back, I call Allstate up, the guy on the other end of the phone says they could possibly back-date it and bump the premium up...I say okay fine...do that...and then he transferred me to local agent. Local agent then told me that she could back-date it, but it couldn't be done BEFORE the effective date...so I say, okay...I'll wait five to six days to do that. I finally call them THIS MORNING to make sure we do this so that I can get the *** ticket expunged...they told me to come on down to the local office and pick it up. They call 10 minutes later after I was getting ready to leave to tell me there's a problem. It wasn't letting her print it and therefore she'll have to talk it over with her supervisor...I say okay that's fine...call me back when it gets straightened out. She calls another 10 minutes later and then tells me IT CAN'T BE DONE!!!! By this point I'm more than a little annoyed. So I call the *** HOME OFFICE and explain to them what happened...THEY THEN TELL ME THAT THEY HAVE "NO RECORD" OF ANY CONVERSATION I'VE HAD WITH THEM!!!! SO THEY'RE BASICALLY TELLING ME THAT I IMAGINED CALLING THEM (BTW I CAN PROVIDE DATES, TIMES AND A PHONE RECORD), IMAGINED THE ANNOYING PIPSQUEAK MALE VOICE ON THE OTHER END, AND IMAGINED HIM OFFERING ME TO BACK-DATE THE *** POLICY AND IMAGINED HIM TRANSFERRING ME TO THE *** LOCAL AGENCY, AND IMAGINED THE SUPERVISOR OVER THERE TELLING ME I WOULD HAVE TO WAIT ANOTHER WEEK!!! SO THEY PRETTY MUCH MADE UP *** SO THAT THEY WOULD NOT HONOR THAT PROMISE!!!! OR AM I IMAGINING TODAY'S CONVERSATION TOO?ALLSTATE: ARE YOU IN GOOD HANDS? THEN DON'T SWITCH TO US. SAVE(?) MONEY AND SWITCH TO ALLSTATE, AND EXPERIENCE ALL THE *** MAYHEM THAT CAN BE THROWN YOUR WAY!!!

I ordered several items through Amazon.com and some of the items were sold by third party sellers that go through the same website. Well, two of the companies...A&E Designs and Woody's Books, became two of the worst experiences of online shopping in my ***...

BB Computer Service - B&B Computer Service *** ME OVER BAD!!!!

I took a laptop into B&B Computer Service to have the power issues fixed and the *** mouse replaced because it's caused me no end of misery. After almost two weeks I call and ask about the computer because I don't usually expect people to call when they say that they will and when they answered, they told me they haven't looked at it yet...but it's been taken apart...so I says okay. They finally call me back another week later and they tell my mom that there's a bunch of viruses on my computer and that that was the cause of it going south. I said *** because I told them it was a physical problem and that when I hit the mouse pad (which you really shouldn't do, but in my case I was so frustrated with it I hit it, which caused the computer to go blank and quit running...hence the reason I asked to replace the mouse) it caused the computer to stop working...it was running fine up until then, even if there were viruses on it which only slowed it down. So I call him up the next day and he then tells me that "I got it working and THEN I found the viruses." So this means he took it upon himself to clean out the viruses when I only SPECIFICALLY asked him to fix the physical problems and replace the mouse, and I have a feeling he did it so that he could take me for "virus removal." And at first he was going to charge me $150 and waive the other charges...and he told me he'd have it ready the following day. Well, a week passed by and still nothing...so I called again after Christmas and he told me he'd call me back in two hours saying he still had it apart and cleaning out the hard drive and that he'd have to go over to get it...so no problem...two hours came and went...I called him back three hours later and he said "either way I'd have it back today." I asked what time they closed and they said 6 pm. I also asked how much and this time he bumped it to $180...and by this point I'm starting to get more than a little annoyed...So I wait and I wait for them to call back and I finally call back around 4:30-5 o'clock. The son of a *** literally got nasty with me and told me that "I'm not letting him work." Folks, there's a problem if I'm somehow not letting him get any of the work done within three hours between phone calls...and I wouldn't be such a pain in the *** if he actually returned a phone call when he said he was going to do so...So needless to say...he didn't deliver on that promise. He FINALLY called me around 1:00 pm the next day to come get it. He grabbed the computer, told me a bunch of *** about the viruses again (as if he's STILL trying to convince me or himself that that is the problem) and installed an antivirus or anti-spyware...AVG to be exact...and this is the ONE program he told me NOT to install when I took it over to get a new power cord months earlier...I go to power it on and IT WOULDN'T START!!! I was about to ask for my money back when he decided to take another look at it...removed the bottom cover and yanked out a flat battery which supposedly is the CMOS...replaced it ten minutes later and it booted up...he said this was a one time deal but if it ever happens again (wait a minute I thought this *** was FIXED because that's WHAT I PAID YOU FOR ***!!!!), take that battery out and place it back in and start it up again...so I thought this would just happen only once or twice over a couple months...WRONG!!!!! I now have to do this EVERY TIME I START THIS *** LAPTOP!!!!! And it made some awful sounds when he started it up and when I asked about it..."oh, that's normal." And then when I connect to the internet...it RAN WORSE THAN IT DID BEFORE IT QUIT RUNNING TO BEGIN WITH!!!! WHATEVER THIS PIECE OF *** DID TO MY COMPUTER HAS *** IT UP EVEN WORSE!!!! EVEN THE MOUSE ISN'T WORKING ANY BETTER AND THAT'S WHAT I TOLD HIM TO REPLACE!!!! I'm seriously considering reporting this to the BBB or getting an attorney involved!! NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE TO FIX YOUR COMPUTER!!!! YOU WILL GET SCREWED INFINITY TIMES OVER AND THEN SOME!!! So now while this thing runs when you mess with it to get it started...I am now out almost $200 just to make this computer run worse!!! *** THESE ***

2 things here. 1) He seriously screwed up by not talking to you about the status of your computer and not working on it for a long time.

2) It sounds like you broke something in a laptop (pain in the butt to fix no matter what) that might not ever have been meant to be able to be fixed.

This would be your fault, not his. There is only so much you can do with a laptop, and replacing a broken mousepad is a part that is pretty tough to get.

TruGreen has done our lawn up until last fall when they started to come around here and without us being home, has come over and sprayed the lawn, when the agreement was that we were to be home...
