Walmart - Avoid purchasing this and other over packaged products.
This Wall socket splitter tap has 100% covering packaging. This is a product that works with no packaging because the bar code can be printed on it or a tag attached to it. The packaging diplayes a recycle code but none can be because the plastic is bonded to the...

You can throw a barcode on most items sold in a store. Unfortunately these items also need to be displayed.

In this case the packaging allows the product to be hung on a hook as many items are.

Other things you will find on the package are warranty information, who makes the product and where it was made among other things. Sure, you could put this information on stickers all over the product but most people wouldn't want to be cleaning stickers off the items they purchase.

MEECO Manufacturing Company - Send Complaint to identify coerced purchase via packaging

Gasketing for wood stove seams and doors. Packaged 6' length of gasket includes a 3oz tube of gasket cement. Should be sold separately Should be a much smaller quantity of gasket cement. As reference; I used a leftover tube of cement and still have 2/3erds of that tube left.

Home Depot - Send Complaint to identify overpackaging

Purchased a Commercial Electric Phone line jack, 1 Gang 1 Line Round Wall Jack/Wall Plate, White. I needed this wall plate so reluctantly I bought it. My reluctance was caused by the packaging. Packaging weight which exceeds the product weight, it has the recycle symbol but none of it can be because it is plastic glued to paper, and the paper has a plastic veneer. Surely the bar code could be printed on the wall plate back and eliminate the package!

My enthusiasm for shopping at Goodwill

I am a return customer of many years, and have become disillusioned. Many items I purchase are at full price, and as expected, over the years the pricing has steadily increased. But, the reason I am a return customer has been steadily compromised by pricing that hoped for "got to have" item priced as if Goodwill is a used clothing boutique store. Most of these items I will not buy because of the price, and because I am motivated to buy other items when I find a really good deal I often do not buy any items, or I buy the over priced item only. Also, many clothing and non clothing items are interesting to me for purchase. But the basic pricing often is above my interest to buy, and when that color is at sale pricing I do then make a purchase. But sale colors are restricted to clothing above $2, and no coats, no linnins, no window dressings, no electrics, no housewares, no shoes, no specially priced boutiques, no items over $x.xx. If I will not buy these items at the listed price, I still will not buy them at a later date at that listed price. GW's are thrift stores, we/I, the clentell are treasure hunter shoppers. Treasure is identified very heavily by price and treasure is found by frequency of looking. I do not frequent boutique or antique stores and have slowly begun viewing GW as one, with my interest in shopping GW following my disinterest in this type of store. When I was an enthusiastic GW shopper I would stop in whenever other destinations cused a passby, I would also include a passby when not necessary, and GW was very often a destination. My enthusiasm for shopping at GW would return if all store items with the sale color were on sale. My enthusiasm for shopping at GW would return if store items of a particular quality or brand if they were at basic pricing, or even at a reasonable uptic of price. Bring back thrift in GW, and this treasure hunter will again enjoy GW thrift store hunting and shopping.

At those prices, you might as well just go buy your clothes from Wal-Mart of KMart. At least the clothing would all be new.
