Cable services degraded by Cox Communications

I had a basic cable services from Cox communications -Cox cable from Feb 07 till date (Jan 08). I was able to see 90 channels and suddenly from last day -26 Jan, it only showed up 23 channels. When inquired the company representative told me that they provided me 90 chanels by mistake and they reverted back and if I want them back I need to pay another 22$ + tax on top of 100$ monthly payment made by me for bundle services. This is plain cheating on the consumer of degrading the services and asking more money. Uncle Sam please help.

You were getting more than you were paying for, they realized the error and corrected it. What's your problem?
