IQor / Rogers Cable Signal Leakage Part 2

Well here it is as promised. A letter from Rogers to a resident of the building. This letter reads; Industry Canada requires Rogers to regularly detect and prevent radio frequency "signal leakage". The purpose of these signal leakage requirements is to protect the radio frequencies used by safety services (i.e. ambulances, police, aeronautical services etc.). This letter continues to read in 'Bold Print'; Rogers has been conducting a signal leakage audit in your area and has determined that the television cable located inside your home is causing signal leakage in excess of Industry Canada guidelines. This situation may also be affecting cable television reception within your home. Next it says; Please contact us (underlined) immediately at 613-759-**** to schedule an in-home service appointment with a Rogers technician (or a representative of our third party contractor) to investigate and correct this situation (underlined) at no cost to you. This letter ends saying; If we do not hear from you within the next 3 days, Rogers may be required to complete adjustments to the cable television equipment used to deliver service to your home to reduce the level of signal leakage. Please note that this action will likely affect your cable television reception. .... Letter Ends. Note: Rogers, their "Third Party Contractor" and the building management are the ones who keep leaving The Cable Box Open at the back of the building. Our questions to iQor are; 1. Do they know the details of why some residents have quit paying Rogers Bills? 2. Does iQor care about these facts? NO! 3. Is iQor going to get into trouble? YES!

I am also a catv service tech(not for rogers)and i have been in situations where we have contacted by nav canada to leakage fixed immediately or stop broadcasting on that particular frequency. it is a big fine for not taking care of signal leakage. so i don't think roger's want to loose their broadcast just because the common person don't know how the industry works

Rogers doesn't listen to customer concerns. They always jump the gun, send out letters, then send you to collections. sometimes in less than a month! What's up with them? Bell seems to be working better now, and they listen because they aren't as fat!

I am a service tech for a rogers contractor and what alot of people dont under stand is signal leakage actually can affect entire blocks as it affects the bandwith the signal travels on if you have that letter then just call them and allow them to fix the problem if it costs you nothing to get new lines and improve your picture quality how is this a bad thing?

Keep using call trace (*57) every time they call. Let them harass you for about a month then call your local Police and the RCMP. Don't forget to keep your records of this.

IQor May Be Acting on the Caretakers Request

Residents believe that iQor is stepping up their harassment at the request of the building caretaker. Phone calls from 1-87*-503-**** and 1-86*-294-**** have increased to 3 times the normal amount of calls received in the past. The man who takes care of the building is in debt with iQor. Former residents who have moved out still get mail for outstanding bills. None of this mail is scribed with the word 'moved' on it, so it keeps arriving at the building. In this way it makes it look like everyone is in debt here, except him!

Next a letter from Rogers Cable to a resident of our building will be published online. This letter is in regards to Rogers Cable Signal Leakage which has been going on for at least 6 years. Since the Telemarketing Collection Agency iQor doesn't care about the reasons consumers are having trouble with Rogers Cable (iQor just wants the money!) in the Center of Ottawa, residents will publish documents photos and the history of these open cable boxes at these buildings. iQor will also get many letters, documents, photos and requests to stop the telephone harassment by standard mail. This will be the last attempt to reason with iQor before legal action.

That's all. An agency has no authority to unilaterally close a file because a consumer says it's invalid.

It's horrible the experience many of us have had with iQor, are they like this in every state or is it just a few? I haven't had quite as many issues as most of you, I had some nice people at times, so I can't say I've had any issues with everyone.
