Trip Com - Share my frustration

I and several of my friends have planned a cruise embarking at Los Angeles in April 2020. In Oct 26 2019, all of us have agreed on a flight ticket price (from Vancouver to Los Angeles) which was Can 165 at trip.com. And then we made our transactions individually. I paid Can 179 (a bit more) because I wanted to have a confirmed itinerary in 2 hours. I have received a e-Receipt from trip.com. The currency was at the top and the amount was at the bottom. I just check the amount and didn't see the currency at the top. Until I received the credit card statement recently, I have found that the transaction was made in US dollars. I tried to dispute the transaction with trip.com and trip.com insisted that I made the transaction in US Dollars. I am sure that I did make the transaction in Canadian. Since I and all of my friends have agreed on the price, I would NOT make the transaction if the ticket price was in US Dollars. I would like to express my frustration with the booking process with trip.com and share my experience with other consumers.
