Um, she wants the $ because HE OWES IT TO HIS CHILD, ***. The OP is talking about her GRANDSON, so the deadbeat dad is not her ex. Read much?

Unfair Treatment

Big Lots #475406
I think most of the responses here are INSANE. Embellish much? Sitting with a leg over the side of a chair is not equivalent to "playing" or "tearing up the store". Good grief. Umm, a 14 year old does not need to hold mommy's hand in a store. If that had been a 20 year old, would Renee have kicked them out? No, because clearly Renee is the one with issues here & exhibited her FALSE sense of power over a child. She's a freaking manager of a discount store for crying out loud. Not. The. Mayor. I've seen plenty of adults that rightfully should've been kicked out of places, but does it happen? Rarely.

Bad example

Big Lots #475400
Oh, boo freaking hoo to you all that work so hard & whine about your breaks.... try working in healthcare. Geez, wish I had a dollar for every missed break & lunch for the last 20 years. (and check your labor laws, kids. Lunches are not "required".)It pretty much doesn't matter what the managers were talking about. If the store was super busy, then they should come down off the managerial pedestal and PITCH IN. If they were at all interested in boosting "employee morale", then freaking help out your employees when they're busy! Not. Rocket. Science.

I am pissed because consumers are ***

Big Lots #475016
Policy-schmolicy. In this economy, retailers should be rolling out the red freaking carpet for customers. It's ridiculous to tolerate ZERO customer service in this day & age. If I buy a $1 pack of gum today & you can't even say "hello" at the cash register, I'll remember that tomorrow when I purchase my kitchen and bedroom furniture for my new house.

& no, I shouldn't have to read the rules/regulations at a DISCOUNT STORE. There are plenty of stores who gladly give store credit for way beyond 30 days w/ no receipt!

Melaleuca is a SCAM

Melaleuca #470451
"The back-up order allows Melaleuca to have an idea of how much product to manufacture each month." I have some swamp land somewhere....

"guaranteed that you are receiving high quality products at lower prices than grocery store brands." Really? That is freaking hilarious!

You obviously have not educated yourself regarding Melaleuca products or you would not be making such a claim. I have used the products for several years, and they are THE BEST and MOST ECONOMICAL by far. Where else can you buy SULFATE FREE shampoo for $4.99? And it workds better than any of the comparative brands that cost more? There are many such products and NONE of theme have any toxins AND work as well or better than the other products on the market that HAVE toxins. You don't need to worry about having packets of detergent exploding in your child's eyes, etc. Try doing your research!

LOL at the Mela cheerleaders... come back in 5 years and tell us how your lives have "enhanced", lol. All your doing is making $ for the CEO with your "backup" orders. Everyone say it together: Sucker!

Melaleuca SCAMS a college student

Melaleuca #470447
Oh, good grief. Melaleuca doesn't sell anything so freaking fabulous that it requires all this nonsense. & for all the people who CLAIM that they're making money, well, they *aren't*.
If this company was legit and reputable, then their ads would come right out and say "Melaleuca". BUT THEY DON'T. If this company was so wonderful, their reps would be allowed to actually advertise that they're with "Melaleuca". BUT THEY CAN'T. Yes, it's all very shady with this company......

Walmart pick up today is a lie

Walmart #470440
The other issue with "pick up today"....... When an order is placed online for site-to-store, part of the order is magically morphed into "pick up today" if the items are available in the store, while the rest can be shipped in multiple packages with multiple delivery dates. It sucks!

& to the some of the more narrow minded- shopping online for several things, checking out all the options/colors/prices, etc. is much easier than dragging little kids all over Walmart for hours. That's why some of us do it... "Duh"

I work at a Walmart store and pulling Pick Up Today orders off the shelves is usually my job. There will be times when there are several random items that are in various locations throughout the store that I have to pull, and I don't mind doing it, often, the person is just pressed for time and would rather expedite buying the things they need by just paying online and going to the store and picking them up, and I have no problem doing it, after all, it is my job, I'm paid to do it.

But does it really matter anyway? The quality of clothing at JCP has done a nosedive in the last few years. I'd equate most of their stuff as junk. ( & this comes from a tightwad....)
