Purchased a Used 2016 Honda Shadow Unridden. Practical ridding for Oregon License a week later. Nice bike and all but; found that I enjoyed the more secluded logging roads along the Oregon coast and this 600 pound bike is oriented for open highways. Trade back in for a more suitable bike no problem right? Wrong. First off they had loaded down my purchase with maintenance warranty program that I am stuck with one for $999.00 no refundable with their 5 Star Maintenance name to it. What really rubs me raw is this is their own greedy internal money record shuffling that they found themselves unable to reasonably allow a downgraded lesser priced vehicle trade. In stead they came up with what I had already invested in the bike.. $1700.00 down payment or payoff of current bike., Maintaining my current $140.00 month payment and price of 2019 Honda Monkey @ $4600.00! Non ABS. Contacting other dealerships considering trades. Remember that $999.00 Non-refundable maintenance program. Cycle Country in no way presented a more viable solution to trade in for another motorcycle. For those of us on limited fixed incomes. This dealership can become shocking to our beliefs of integrity and honesty within the motorcycle community.
