Iuniverse - Random Thoughts of a Simple Mind

Had a book self-published with iUniverse in 2009. They made a mistake printing the back cover.

I had to pay half the cost for a re-do. Now, 4 years later, I had a suspicion. I ordered 2 copies of my own book from Amazon.com. It was delivered today, 2/7/13, with the back cover with the same "wrong" back cover.

iUniverse said it was Amazon.comk's fault. I know the correction was made because I bought several copies from iUniverse myself for resale. How in the world did the original wrong copy get printed again? I wonder how many copies were sold to others with the wrong back cover.

Also, I know very well some books were bought besides what I bought which leaves the question,"How come I never got any royalties"?

I nearly finished my second book, so I'm looking for another publisher.

Try looking for a real publisher chumnp or if you must self publish use the FREE Kobowritinglife instead of an *** sccam.

I have been in touch with a iunivers "agent". I have a little book in mind ...

I'm in canada... Can you tell me how does it work from: once you buy the publishing "package" to getting loyalties from each book sold?

Should I consider another publishing company?

Thank you. D.Gonzalez.

I would be very careful committing large sums of money to them on promises of marketing... they do not market the book.

Um all of these things where you try to buy your way into publishing are complete scams. You get defrauded.

Real publishers pay authors. If your book isn't good enough for a real publisher to want it you can self publish for FREE on Kobowritinglife anyway.

People only buy self published books in ebook form no one wants them in print People mostly only buy print books if they know the publisher or writer is legit.

Don't be an idioot who wastes his money.

Iuniverse - Random Thoughts of a Simple Mind

My title was submitted for printing and eventual publication to iUniverse. I received a proof copy that had a serious error on the back cover caused by them. I had to pay the cost to correct it before they would resubmit to printer. The problem was corrected and made ready for sale in June, 2009. I even purchased several copies from them for re-sale. Today, I purchased my own books from Amazon.com. These books were delivered to me today, 2/7/13, with the same old serious error on the back cover. iUniverse told me to call Amazon.com because it's their fault. Amazon.com said, "NO, it's iUniverse's fault. I already knew this. I wonder how many books were purchased by readers with the old serious errors.

Comcast - Raised rates, billing statement too complicated to understand

Comcast Cable continue to raise my rates even after I turned in some of their equipment I can't afford. Called several times for an explanation but they seem to always make it too complicated to understand. Even the paper billing I received in the mail is too complicated to understand. When calling on the phone they always want you to wait for a call-back because they are supposedly waiting on other customers. The call back can take as long as 2 hours. When I finally get their call-back I can be on the phone with a customer service rep for at least 20 minutes. One call to them in particular on 3/22/12 lasted about 8 minutes, then he put me on hold for another 32 minutes. I couldn't hold on any longer. This is the last straw. I am in the process of contacting the Public Service Commission of my state. If that dosen't work, then maybe I will start a class action law suit.
