Profit Management Solutions - It's a scam - don't buy the hype

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Profit Management Solutions Inc. is run by Anthony Cavaluzzi of George S.

May International Company.

They claim to be a Management Consulting Company but are really nothing but a Scam. They send out an analyst to evaluate you business. They show you how a dramatic restructure will save you thousands in taxes and then negotiate 2 weeks to have an operations expert come and clean up your entire order of operations to prepare for the tax restructure.

It seems very legit, and they offer insight on ways to maximize your tax structure so you comply.

They charge $10,000 for the tax restructure ($5k up front)

and $295/hr for the Operations expert (Plus travel expenses)

He comes and sits in your office for 2 weeks, telling you it will take him even longer than 2 weeks because you need so much work.

After 1 week (and $16,000 for his time) it became painfully obvious that he was not going ot deliver on his promises. He offered a handful of template generic business documents (employee handbooks, evaluations forms etc.) and spent 4 days building a budget.

That's 40 hours!! We are a small seasonal business, I could have built a budget in a couple hours.

When we complained that we were not receiving what was promised, we did not receive a refund, nor did he suddenly have the work done.

This is a scam.

They insist you pay with check (so they don't have to pay fees to run your card) but now I realize it is because you cannot contend a check, like you can a debit card.

Be careful. I checked the BBB on them before going into business and they currently have an a+ rating.

I will be issuing a complaint.

Here at PMS, we have over 500,000 clients all across the United States. So we must be doing something right.I have taken this company from a start up 22 years ago to doing over 60 million a year now and still growing at a rate of 22-24% a year.

One of the most important factors to me is client satisfaction. If your not happy, then I'm not happy. Our clients come first and employees second. This post was just recently posted and we did the research on that to only find out it was a fraudulent complaint placed on there by our competition trying to hurt our stellar reputation.

We were able to tell by tracing the IP address. The other issue has been out there for years and put on there by a ex employee that I fired due to his work ethic. I make no excuses for that and would fire him again. As I'm sure you would as well.

Other than that, and the 500,000 plus happy clients we have, I would take that any day of the week. You never hear all the social media gossip about good things companies do, only the bad. Even if those two issues were legit, for every one bad I could give you 250,000 good. Ill take those odds everyday.

The sad part about all of this is that there is nothing you as a business owner can do about it. people can post anything they want, and hide behind a computer screen and not be held accountable. There is something wrong about that. If I had something to say about a bad experience I had with a business I would stand up, give my name and tell my story and stand by my words.

People today hide behind there screen and are having a bad day so they want someone else to share in there bad day so they write a bogus complaint and leave no name or anything and don't care how it may effect the other party and they don't have to answer for it. Something is really wrong with this.

If someone is going to post a bad review, they should be held accountable for there actions. That is what I have to say about that

I am not a COMPETITOR. If this is PMS than you know exactly who I am - unless you have so many unhappy customers you can't figure it out.

We are just a small business. We were promised 1 thing and received something entirely different. When confronted about the misrepresentation- your company refused to give us a refund. That is a scam.

A bait and switch.

This review is 100% accurate and is the result of an unhappy client. I have nothing to gain here except hopefully warn another small business owner before you swindle them

I don't usually get involved with online opinions, but I just wanted to briefly share my experience with Profit Management Solutions. About a year ago, my husband and I hired them to help us better operate our company.

Were a small business that was struggling. We were just getting by, working long hours. At times we didn't even know if we were going to even make payroll. We didn't really know what to do.

Then we received a phone call from I believe was there marketing group. So my husband and I thought that we would listen to what they had to say. So a representative of there company came in and he explained in more detail about what it is that they do. It sounded like just the answers we were looking for.

So we proceeded to the next step where a expert in our field came in for two days and reviewed the entire company inside and out as well as doing a review of our tax situation. On the second day they when they gave my husband and I the findings of there review they were spot on. We felt that they really understood our business and showed us our short comings. Some of which we new, and many that we didn't.

They showed us in a manor that didn't make us feel like a failure. They were very tactful which we appreciated. They also showed us how we could save thousands of dollars in taxes, something our CPA never did. After there review we felt that this is what my husband and I had been looking for.

We felt comfortable with them. So we made the decision to hire Profit Management Solutions to help us. It was the best decision we could have ever made. When there consultant came in we were still nervous but hopeful.

The consultant made us very comfortable and he got right down to work. He was here about 4-5 weeks, and I'm happy to say that it was the best investment we could have ever made in our business and in us as owners as well. We did the tax portion of the project as well. They told us that they could save our company $19 or $20,000 a year in tax savings.

Well to our happy surprise, we ended up saving $24,000 which we dearly needed. So they did not over promise us. If anything they were conservative. As far as our business goes, over the 4 - 5 week span that Profit Management was with us, they took our company to the next level, and did it while showing us how to properly operate the business.

We didn't have to be working 60 hours a week anymore. Were actually down to about 45 hours a week and we can now actually pay ourselves. Not only did they put all the proper systems in place for our company, but showed us how to use them. We now understand where our profits are actually coming from, and how to avoid the losses we were incurring before they were here.

Because of Profit Management Solutions, my husband and I actually feel like we have control of our company, and we now understand the business side of what we do. Something we didn't really understand before. We were concerned in the beginning of how we were going to pay for the project as money was so tight. They showed us how to manage the money, put budgets in place and showed us that the money was here, but it was leaving faster than we could bring it in.

As they started to fix the holes we had in the business and the money started staying in our company then the project paid for itself. I could go on and on. I have nothing but praise about this company. They helped us achieve what we could not.

There truly are what they claim to be. It was one of the best investments we could of ever made. Not only are we saving the money on our taxes, but for the first time In years, the business is actually making good profits, and the stress relief that Profit Management Solutions has brought to our family, I'm forever grateful to them. I simply cant say enough about them.

Would I recommend them?

Absolutely, in a heart beat. Forever Grateful, Julie - Tom Reynolds ABC Heating Inc.

Julie - I am glad your business has found success. Your experience sounds just like ours.

Except - we never got any useful information on the tax saving; no specifics we could implement - only generic promises. You had their consultant at your business for 4-5 weeks. At their consultant rate of $295/hr that $47,200 for 4 weeks. That is a lot of money most small business owners don't have to spend.

If you did, that's great. If you needed a crash course on how run your business, then I can see how spending $47k on operations and another $10k on the tax setup made sense for you. When we worked with Profit Man. Solutions we didn't want tor need to change our order of operations.

In the time their consultant was at our office he only provided a couple small ideas we weren't already implementing. He said himself many times that we were more organized than the companies he usually works with. Great - except that didn't reduce his time with us or speed up the process. He simply drug our his stay and produced nothing new.

IF you are new to business and need a crash course on how to run a business, then PMS could be a good way to do that. They are not very 'cutting edge', they use paper to run the back-end and do not have any online paperless services, apps or products that they use to streamline your operations. My company is already running paperless and is run 100% on our devices. For us, their systems seemed old-fashioned.

Unfortunately we never received anything on the tax reform they promised.

For us, walking away, it was an expensive lesson not to trust outside consultants. I am glad it went down better for you, Julie.

I'm just going to chime in on this. We just had PMS come into our office to do their "analysis".

Having NOTHING in writing, NO non-disclosure or confidentiality agreement, no presentation... just a business card. After deciding to think about it (we were pressed hard to commit THAT DAY!), we were charged $1,500 for the "analysis". Mind you, the rep only had a copy of our tax return from TWO years ago.

No P&L, no other info AT ALL, but promised to make us double what we were going to spend with them in 6 weeks (at around $350/hr). Mislead from the beginning.

BTW, I have tried to contact "Julie" or Tom Reynolds with ABC Heating, Inc. and I do not believe they even exist...
