California Superstores - Bad brake job

I purchase new Aspan from California Superstores Folsom Chrysler Jeep Dodge in Folsom, Ca I had my front and rear brakes done at California Superstores Folsom Chrysler Jeep Dodge in Folsom, Ca. I had problems with my brakes and took my SUV in 2 times for problems. Each time they grinded on my brake pads and rotors to correct the problem. I went in for a oil change after approximately 10,000 miles and they told me that my front brakes and rotors were shot. They said it was because of our driving habits. I when to another dealer and they did a brake inspection and told me that my front brakes and rotors were shot and that my rear brakes were like new. I had them do my front brakes and rotors and they charged me $481.13. California Superstores says that it was my driving habits but I would never go to them again for a brake job.

Thompsons Auto and Truck Centers - Disappointed in Thompsons Auto & Truck Center

Yesterday, Dec. 14, 2012, I found out that my front brakes and rotors were bad and need to be replaced. I called River City Brake Center in Carmichael and told them my front brakes and rotors needed to be done. They said that for my SUV that the price would be $340 including a purchase of a groupon coupon. I called Thompson Auto & Truck Center in Placerville, a dealer type auto repair service, and talked to Erick. I told him that my front brakes and rotors were bad and that I needed them done. He told me that the price would be $400 for the front brakes and rotors. I told him that I had received a coupon from his company in the mail and he said that he would give me credit on the job for the $50. To me $400 less $50 was $350 and they were near my home. I thanked him and told him that I would have them do the front brakes and rotors the next morning at 8 A.M. After I took my car in at around 1 P.M. I received a call from a lady at Thompson Auto & Truck telling me that my brakes and rotors were going to cost over $500. I was told that the rotors cost almost twice what Erick had quoted me. Shortly after I received a call from Erick telling me not to worry about the difference in price that he would make it right and not to worry. When I went to pick up my SUV, I had to pay $454.80 plus tax. That was $104.13 more than I had been quoted. Be sure to get any quotes in writing!!! Do not trust them to keep their word!!!

A lot of pain from Pearson Partners

I was foreclosing on 10 acres that I sold to Trudy Reed|. She transferred 50% interest to Thomas Pearson of Pearson Partners and he filed bankruptcy;. After his bankruptcy was dismissed, he transferred the 50% interest back to Trudy Reed'. Trudy Reed then transferred 50% interest to Snowy Range Business Trust and Trustee Joseph Mermis then filed for bankruptcy". The judge dismissed his claim on the bases of bad faith filling with no right of appeal. My dealings with Thomas Pearson of Pearson Partners resulted in me having legal fees of $5,947:.26 plus many hours of wasted time, emotional stress and anxiety|. I would never do business with Pearson Partners or Thomas Pearson and I would recommend that nobody do business with Pearson Partners or Thomas Pearson

Snowy Range Business Trust filed a bad faith court action

I was foreclosing on 10 acres that I sold to Trudy Reed. She deeded 50% interest to Snowy Range Business Trust, Trustee Joseph Mermis. My involvement with Snowy Range Business Trust, Joseph Mermis trustee, was the result of a bad faith bankruptcy filing by Joseph Mermis which resulted in me having legal fees of $1,600 plus many hours of wasted time, emotional stress and anxiety. The judge dismissed his claim on the bases of bad faith filling with no right of appeal. I would never do business with Joseph Mermis or Snowy Range Business Trust and would not recommend that any one else do business with either of them.

Citicards - Citi Bank bonus points forever???

Update by user Apr 02, 2012

I thought that Citibank might respond since I have been a customer for many years and still am. I have not received any response from them. I have cut back 90% on my business with them.

Original review posted by user Mar 01, 2012
If you look at their material, "Thank You Rewards or any portion thereof may be revised or terminated with 30 days prior written notice." I had a Citi Bank Air mile card . When I signed up they told me my miles would be there forever until I needed them. Citi Bank terminated over a1,000 air miles of mine without any kind of compensation. Of course my wife and I had to have enough air miles for a round trip before we could use them. After they canceled our air miles, Citi Bank started another card that you can use for air trips. Citi Bank converted our card over to the new card. They say the points you earn are there until you need them unless you read the fine print. If Citi Bank gets to many points out there, they can just give 30 day notice and wipe out your bonus points at no cost to Citi Bank. I wonder how much money they saved when they terminated everyone's outstanding air miles???!!! Thanks very much for your support.Eugene Toleman

The air miles are not controlled by Citi. Citi has the American Airlines card, and the miles are controlled by American Airlines. It is American Airlines, not Citi, that took away your miles.

They basically bent me over to! I earned 73,293 points using my Sears Citi card this year which pays one point for every dollar spent toward their Sears Choice Rewards Program.

Last month I spent over $13,000 using my Sears Citi Bank credit card, and I paid the balance off as usual to avoid paying interest, with the intention of requesting an iPad II next month which was approx. 90,000 pt. I wanted the iPad to use as a baby monitor because my wife and I are expecting our first child in September, a baby girl! Well, low & behold Sears & Citi bank closed my account two days ago for absolutely no reason other than to avoid paying me the miles/points I had accrued.

Is this legal? Do I have any recourse? They have been very stand-offish and acted peculiar when I’ve asked them questions about why. I was transferred to many departments and once I was finally able to speak to a Manager named Vince (Mgr.

Ref.# BRSR05) he told me that I would not be rewarded the points I had earned or the new points because I was “high risk.” This confuses me because the only high risk I offer is a high risk that I will pay my credit card on time as I have as long as I’ve had it and a high risk that, in turn, I will be rewarded with points as illustrated in their program. He said that is all of the information he had and gave me the phone number to the Adverse Action Department; (800) 663-****. I simply want to alert local consumers here in Austin &/or nationwide to please be leery of this unfair & biased scheme. It irks me beyond disbelief that two reputable companies such as Sears & Citi bank would participate in such a wrongful practice; talk about being blind-sided.

Here is their fine print which basically gives them the opportunity to *** if they want to by cancelling your account at anytime... "If your membership is terminated (including if your Account is closed), or if you decide to cancel your membership in Sears Choice Rewards, all accumulated Points will be forfeited." All I can say is wow! & ouch!! This is terribly unethical, unjust, & wrong.

And this is yet another case of big banks and big industry sticking it to the lower to middle class. I am a Persian Gulf War veteran and I don’t think this any way to be treated on Memorial Weekend or any day for that matter.

:( I'm pissed!
