Newsmax - Consumer news story

Car manufacturers are now charging ridiculous prices to replace key fobs for car owners. I needed to replace my key fob for my car and they charged me $1400.

If I sell my car, I'll sell it and ask the buyer if they are interested in having a key. I'll say sure, that will be $1450. I would love to be interviewed about my experience.

  • None just no phone hotline

Preferred solution: Important to find out way a key fob should coast so much. My car is a Mercedes but they are charging exorbitant amounts of $$ from other cars as well.
