GREENWAY VAN LINES - Greenwayvanlines and unethical behavior
Hello, I have moved with greenwayvanlines and theu create a contract based on list of items, which I did. I have packed and dis assembled furniture and placed them in the boxes...but what do you know... They showed up with 2 individuals non-english speaking, minimal space, lack of blankets and anything else you can imagine that is not positive. theu sed baxes to supplement for blankets and charged me for them including labor!!!. I have contacted the company in dis belief but they vouched for quality and that they will deliver it undamaged. My contract was for list of items andthe driver stated that i am over cubic feet? It is like talking to ... (fill the blank) as they deny what the contract was. Also they charged - at this attempting - 2K more than agreed upon. Their explanation is that I have packed furniture...when I have listed items and they never talked that you can not pack in boxes, as it is cubic feet extra. Let them destriy what they can, pay $.6 per lb, and have your insurance company supplement for their ignorance, inability to provide good service and being uncapable of anything. I am not sure if there is a good company out there, but me recomendation is: pack all that is important to you and take it with you. Have them move and adhere to the contract and flip the card on to them. Also, if this happens to any of you - read up on UCC code and contract law. It will take longer - but I will not pay - refuse to pay, 50% of what my furniture cost ($15,000) have it damaged and have to process a claim with the insurance co, when you can cut your losses and repurchase. Pissed never returning customer.
