Perkins Restaurant and Bakery #381621
I call ***... Couldn't you just have finished your coffee outside then joined your family for dinner? Why not get a drink at that restaurant instead? After all, it may be cheaper than a $3 coffee...

BANK OF AMERICA FEE RIPOFFS

Bank Of America #381618
@Chris: Yeah, I don't see ANYONE paying $500 in fees to a BOA Credit Card unless you have been late EVERY MONTH or have been late several times including the $99 annual fee on an American Express card... Are you sure you're not talking about INTEREST? Interest is completely different than fees, and you will be paying higher interest rates with any other bank. Your credit card is like a loan, you are borrowing money from the bank and paying it back over a certain period of time, in which interest accrues... If you wish to have a lower interest rate, please continue paying your card down to where you are within 25-33% credit line utilization and then call in to Customer Service to speak with a credit analyst in order to run a review. If you are refused once, ask for a supervisor to review.

Bank of America closed my credit card because i did not use it enough

Bank Of America #381614
How did you using your card trigger a review? Bank of America has an Inactive Account Closure policy set forth where if cards aren't being used, we may re-absorb the line back into the general fund for use in other credit-bearing products such as loans and mortgages. As a result the account is closed and you must call Customer Service to give your ATP (Ability to Pay) information to have it reopened. If you refuse to give this information, we will proceed no further and you can just shred your cards. While the inconvenience is unfortunate, the cards and accounts are ultimately the property of Bank of America, and we can take any action we deem necessary to mitigate risk loss to the bank and customer.

Bank of America Shopsafe Not Safe

Bank Of America #381612
While the changing of your card number is an unfortunate inconvenience, the cards and accounts are still ultimately the property of Bank of America Corp. and we do reserve the right to close your card in the event that we feel the account is going to be defrauded. Please bear in mind that these are funds that you are borrowing from the bank and we also reserve the right to close your account in the event of misuse. Again, we apoligize for all inconvenience... For any further information, please feel free to consult your Cardholder's Agreement.

Pardon me, but in the case of a debit card these are *not* funds borrowed from the back โ€” it's MY MONEY โ€” money which we consumers have entrusted to BoA and with your bank can and does use as financial collateral! Oh, and by the way BoA is also applies hefty service charges to every consumer's account for the privilege of using our money.

Cashier associate embarrassed older couple

Walmart #380182
Yes... That policy is in state for a reason, the Cashier is in the right here... The Express Lanes are put into place so that customers can get through lines quicker if they only have a few items... They are not built with a belt so anything more than 20 items is a pain for the cashier, the customer at hand, and the customers waiting in line. If I still worked for WalMart, I would have done the exact same thing. Not because you're OLD, but because it's the right thing to do for the customers who legitimately have less than 20 items. STOP BEING SELFISH!!! Your "entitlement" factor is deeply sickening. The worst thing is, it's always the Baby Boomers. You're not so important, trust me, you've ruined life for the rest of us by being fiscally irresponsible. I'm 22 and definitely have no respect for the Baby Boomer generation. Thanks for hearing my rant! :( :(

Please be aware that credit card accounts ARE the property of FIA and will be managed as we see fit.

Pay your overdraft fee at BOA & provide 3 Afro-Americans with a free lunch at KFC

Bank Of America #380066
Before you blasphem BOA for lining the pockets of its employees, please educate yourself on how deposit banking works from the banking standpoint. When you, the customer, overdraws their account, We at BOA have to borrow that money from another company (at a ridiculously high interest rate) in order to cover it. This Overdraft Fee is used to try and offset some of the loss caused by your inability to properly run your accounting. Please take a good, hard look at your Depositor's Agreement for further details regarding our Overdraft Policy, which is perfectly run within Federal mandates.

Credit card limits getting cut too much

Bank Of America #380065
Minor Revolving Delinquency is legitimate reason for the bank to take adverse action for risk mitigation efforts. While the situation is definitely unfortunate, we are going to do everything we can to keep from falling into high-risk territory.

BANK OF AMERICA FEE RIPOFFS

Bank Of America #380064
4 words: Federal Government Regulation D... This sets the Reserve requirements for depository institutions, including your credit unions you are thinking of escaping to. You can only transfer funds from your savings account to checking account 6 times per month without penalty. If you violate Regulation D, you are sent a notice (which you probably failed to read.) and have to try to comply each month. If you violate Reg D more than 3 months per year, your Savings Account WILL BE CONVERTED to a Checking Account so that you can safely transact. SAVINGS ACCOUNTS WERE MEANT FOR SAVING, NOT TRANSACTING!!! If you are saying that we closed your account, you are horribly mistaken, as that is not protocol. You would have had to initiated the closure, not us.

Bank of America Fees

Bank Of America #380063
These debits were properly assessed utilizing Bank of America's Right of Setoff that is mentioned in your Depositor's Agreement. Whenever you have an account that is overdrawn for a period of 90 days, the bank has the right to go into attached accounts that you are a signer on in order to recover funds without undue loss to the bank, since we have to pay money on funds borrowed at a high interest rate to provide your overdrawn account. While the loss is unfortunate, you would do the same thing if you as a person had the authority to do so.

Change of Terms is outrageous

Capital One #380059
...while this business practice is perfectly legal and happens across the board all the time, keep in mind that it's Capital One which is by far the overall indisputably WORST bank in the world!!! I'm surprised that they're not ranked higher in assets or profit than Bank of America because of their outlandish interest rates and fee structure. I'm trying as hard as I can to pull my auto loan, but nobody's willing to refinance... :roll
