USAA steals from Victim and gives to Spouse/Child Abuser

In October of 2010, my estranged husband broke into my home and tried to murder me to forgo the divorce and child support. Ironically, I was arrested for self-defense.

Self-defense was proven in June 2011. During my 23 days in jail, He then hacked/altered my USAA checking account online (that was solely in my name; again only my name was on the account, not his) and transferred all my money (over $4000) to his account. I required the money for my own legal defense. Once released, I went to my account and found the money gone.

I contacted USAA about it and they admit their system shows the transfer from my account to his on a date that I was incarcerated. Once again, USAA admits that my password was altered on a day that I was incarcerated and it was not me that did it, they admit that all my funds were transferred from my account to his; they admit that it is solely my account and he has no authorization to it. Their response: "It's a domestic issue and we don't want to get involved." They fail to see that it is an actually crime and in my state is a class 3 felony.

For a company that is supposedly built on high principles they sure are lacking here. One year later, they still refuse to return my money.

I had been a member for 25 plus years and went to work for the company. I was very disappointed to see and feel the effects of the gender discrimination that goes on in the company at a lower level.

I've see the board of directors list and the executive list and I find it very hard to believe that they are being made aware of these issue to the extent that they exist. I expect as long as they continue to do business in the oppresive states and do not expand resources to the progressive states, these issues will continue to be swept under the rug. I suggest you get an attorney and fight this injustice to the bitter end because conditions for women and minorities need to improve.

It's a boys club. Women beware....

USAA did about the same to me! My spouse who abandoned the home, and who is living separate and apart from me, impersonated me online, transferred non-existent funds between three financial institutions and left me over $2K overdrawn on my individual USAA account.

USAA says domestic issue and that I need to cover the stolen funds. USAA has seized my direct deposits to put against the overdrawn individual account leaving me destitute.
