I had the same issue with the Roomstore location in Columbia, MD. I purchased a recliner on 9/17/11. I was told it was back ordered and would be in at the end of September. October 1st I don't hear from them and I call and am told Mid October. Mid October comes and I am told mid to late November. I go to the store responsible and they tell me the phone rep lied and it will be in late October. I call October 31st and am told mid to late November. I sent their corporate an email telling them I was upset and would go to the local news and hire a lawyer to file a lawsuit if this issue was not resolved now. The manager of the Columbia store called me the next day to say she received my email. She tells me I can have the floor model and I said no I paid for new furniture not used. She then tells the Roomstore is out of stock on all furniture made by the manufacturer Franklin which is who made my recliner. Then she says they have no time frame on when the Roomstore will get any furniture by Franklin back in stock and it could be many months before they do. I got my refund back last week. But why the sales lady didn't tell me this up front goes to show that they only care about the sale and not the customer. Otherwise I never would've bought the recliner. Good luck with them and take the advice I've provided. It worked for me. Keep us posted on what happens.

If the product isn't made by Brookstone then how is it Brookstones fault? Common sense(which you obviously lack) would tell you its the manufacturers fault and not Brookstones.

I bought a Lane office chair and upon getting it home I was unable to put the chair together because none of the holes lined up. I took it back to the Best Buy and had the same problem with the second chair where the hole didn't line up for me to be able to assemble the chair. I took it back and got my money back. Their furniture is cr@p.
Sprint is doing the same thing to me. I switched to Verizon from Sprint due to Sprints poor customer service on 11/5/11 and Sprint is trying to charge me for a full month anyway. Sprint did the same thing to my girlfriend when she switched to Verizon due to their poor customer service. She just ended up paying for the full month when she only had it activated for 4 days at the beginning of the month. Hopefully you have better luck with Sprint then we did but I doubt it.
Yeah Sprint sucks big time. They refused to look at my girlfriends malfunctioning hone even though she had insurance. She asked them to look at it or she would go to another carrier. They told her no and that she was welcome to go to another carrier and that se wouldn't be missed. So she switched to Verizon 4 months ago. I switched to Verizon 3 days ago for similar reasons of poor customer service and lies. We seem to get much better customer service and faster connection speeds.

I quit buying anything there! They should have fair pricing....not retail or above retail. Someone is getting filthy rich! At the prices they charge, it should not be a problem paying their employee's. Bet they don't make over minimum wage tho. If Goodwill could they would probably pay their employee's less! Gonna make me some bumper stickers about Goodwill! BOYCOT ALL GOODWILL STORES!!!!

I do agree with Pulltype as well. Next time someone recommends something dramatic I would always get a second opinion to ensure such things like this do not happen. Some companies pray on people they know are easy targets.

The Roomstore is no better. They tried to give me the run around until I was persistent enough with them that they gave me a full refund on furniture I purchased and waited 2 months but never received and had no idea when I'd receive it. Stay away from them as well.
