Omaze - Really?

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
In their latest oddity, Omaze claimed to be giving away a Lamborghini that was blessed by the Pope. Problem is that it happened in Vatican City, and was auctioned by Sotheby's in England. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2017/11/15/pope-francis-given-lamborghini-sports-car-plans-auction-charity/ So how would this car have even wound up in the United States (especially since Lamborghinis can't be imported here), and how would Omaze haven gotten their hands on it? On, that's right: Omaze has a prize rule that says that there may be "import/export restrictions" on their prizes, and they'll give away cash instead. Curiouser and Curiouser. Once again, it seems that Omaze doesn't even possess the "prize" they're claiming to give away.

Lamborghini's are imported here to the USA and sold at dealerships nationwide. Pope could easily go to the factory, sign a car, and Lamborghini allocates that VIN to the US. Lots of European manufacturers also offer European delivery programs, where you can drive your car in Europe before it gets exported to the USA.
