Taunton Joinery - Doors not fit for purpose

Solid wooden door supplied to new build property on The Prince of Wales new town Poundbury has lasted only four years before requiring replacement. This is due to warping. No warranty is provided by anyone including NHBC. Company has cited weather conditions likely to have caused movement plus lack of maintenance. No maintenance instructions were provided but later advice has been painting is required every two years. Who would think of painting their front door if it showed no sign of deterioration.

CG Fry and Son - Inferior Quality Doors

A solid wooden door requires replacement after only four years through warping. Supplier(Taunton Joinery) to the builder (C G Fry & Son) have cited weather conditions likely to have caused movement. Both parties provide no length of guarantee, although research shows solid wood doors should last 30 years. NHBC have no cover on doors.
