Kelly Pools And Spas of Mystic Islands - Very disappinted first time customer

I just hung up with the "owner" - Kelly about the pool opening service that was done here at our home on May 10. Having owned a very successful personal service business, I do have high standards ,but we ALL should . Over those 25 plus years ,my loyal clients ,the extensive referals,and stellar reputation I am proud to have earned numerous awards ,one of which was Monmouth County's top 10 service businesses . The bad experience we had with Kelly's makes us wonder HOW unprofessional businesses - who do NOT honor and respect their customers and are ONLY out for a quick buck - can survive in todays competitive market place ??ALL businesses should be held to honest FAIR standards and do everything to assure customers are treated they way they would expect to be treated and given what was promised .After my detailed explanation ,the owner could only diverted from the facts I was stating , side line me with excuses and clearly had NO concern about making sure a new customer was satisfied. WOW! I do NOT appreciate being lied to and "told" that "everything was explained " because IT WAS NOT. Obviously, IF the work HAD been done as it should have been done (opening a pool is NOT rocket science) and as it was explained ,I would NOT be submitting this review. To my SHOCK ,the owner refused to acknowledge the numerous issues I brought to her attention and REFUSED any compensation for the LACK of services she had promised .We were told that if we paid CASH there would be a slight discount so we agreed EVEN though the CASH PRICE was still HIGHER than other companies we had called. Regrettably, we chose this company ONLY because they were "available " sooner.NOW it makes perfect sense they were available in peak season and that should have tipped me off. ALL other companies were fully booked for several more weeks .We are OUT $220.00 and my husband ended up correcting the mistakes and doing the job properly -as it should have been done .If a business does NOT appreciate and respect their customers , FLAT OUT refuses to make things right , denies any responsibility and blames the customer for not understanding what they were paying for - they DO NOT deserve your business.I should have been smarter and waited for a reputable company.Making a bad and costly mistake in hiring Kelly's reminded me to seek out a trustworthy company with web site/presence AND positive customer reviews.As the saying goes "buyer BEWARE".
