We would NOT EVER RECOMMEND using Texas Sign Boss (TSB) for a sign installation service!!! We have been truly frustrated and disappointed by their poor customer service and sudden policy changes leading to increased risks and costs to our company and our clients. We needed to change our sign installation service about six months ago because the previous company we worked with closed. We chose TSB based on a recommendation from our previous sign company. From the time we started working with TSB, we have experienced a lot of issues with their process. Before we scheduled a pick-up of our inventory from the previous company’s warehouse, we provided them with a complete list of our signs and lockboxes to make sure that no items were left and the pickup would be seamless. However, they picked up our inventory without telling us and before we scheduled with them. When we realized this, we ended up having to call their office to ensure they had everything which, clearly, they did not. Thankfully, our previous service provider was caring enough to send the rest of the inventory over to their warehouse but it took time before we had all of our inventory. As we’ve continued to work with TSB, we’ve tried to work with them and be patient. But their customer and sales departments have not communicated updates on fees and schedules which causes us to call for clarification/confirmation every time we have an order. It is a huge inconvenience to us and not something a customer should ever have to do. To make matters even worse, an incident happened recently regarding their unannounced keybox policy changes that cost us money and extreme dissatisfaction for one of our sellers. Here’s what happened: We requested for TSB to pick up our supra and lockboxes from one of our listings. They did not inform us that when they removed the supra, they left the keys to the house in the supra box. We only found this out later when our clients told us they were going to change the locks because the keys were not left with them or somewhere on the property. We expected TSB them to leave the keys since that was our original agreement, it has always been that way with our previous orders, and it’s been this way with every other sign installation service we have had thus far (this is the 3rd for us). After all of that inconvenience, TSB then wanted us to pay them an additional travel fee to give the owners the keys which was their fault to begin with since they never informed us that they had changed policies! We complained about it and they agreed to waive the fee for that time. A few days after the incident, they sent the first and only communication out via email about their new keybox policy. After this, TSB gave us an ultimatum saying that we could either 1) pay the travel fee for them to bring back the key to the house 2) mail the key back to the seller later 3) go out to the house ourselves to change the lockbox. Since of course every option they gave us was either going to cost us additional time and/or money and was a change to our original agreement with them, we had no choice but to change service providers. So we asked politely for them to help us with a smooth transition. They were apologetic at first, clarified why they changed their policy, and said that they will check with their lawyer to see what they could do. We tried to work with them to find a solution to make it work. Even though we were trying to find a solution, when we followed up, Brian, one of the owners, was extremely rude, unprofessional, and unreasonable. There was absolutely zero customer service from him and he said if we changed providers that they would take out all of our existing signs/posts forcing us to pay new installation fees (about $250) with another provider. When we tried to work with him to find a solution, he was caddy, condescending and insulting. He kept saying things like “we don’t need your approval to change a policy” and that he “didn’t care about us” rather than apologizing for inconveniencing us as his customer. After several phone calls on the phone with him, the last one being about an hour an a half of him yelling and insulting us, we decided that we didn’t want a company like theirs having our money or anymore power over to inconvenience us or our clients any longer. We were totally appalled by TSB’s approach and their complete lack of customer service to us, “their client”. We would never, in ANY CIRCUMSTANCE, recommend using this company for any service whatsoever!!!
