American Medical Response threatens collection
American Medical Response (AMR) provided my ambulance service during an emergency. My medical is completely covered by the Veterans Affairs. Yes, the VA is somewhat slow to pay. So, , after 90 days, AMR sends me a letter threatening to turm my account over to a collection agency. Called to let them know that VA is somewhat slow, but I have written letter showing that VA is starting to pay all the bills for that emergency. Asked them to have patience. The phone rep follows the on-screen script and tells me that if I do not, at minimum, agree to a payment plan now, they will turn me over to the collections immediately. They did not care that payment is, virtually, guranteed by the VA, did not care that I am a disabled veteran. They wanted money from me, right now. Asked to speak to a supervisor. She was not in, but got her name, "Sarah," and number. Left message that day and half dozen in two weeks since. She is never answers the phone and never calls back. So, I do not know if they are proceeding with the collection, which will ruin my credit rating. What is the purpose in harrassing veterans in such a way? What kind of business just do not care? Will not even talk to you?

Humane Society of the US in it only for the Money
Have found that Humane society of the United States (HSUS,) HQ in Washington DC, uses professional phone solicitors. Those solicitors are extremely rude. Received calls from them 3-4 times a day, many times as late as nearly 9 PM. With caller ID and special ring tone, we just do not answer phones unless we know who it is. Contacting HSUS did not stop the calls at all. In fact they started calling only late at night. When I got sick of it and answered the phone, the solicitor's attitude was that you "gave" us your phone number when you donated and we have every right to call you. Heavens, yeah, all day, every day for weeks. Do not donate, and if you do, don't give them your phone number. Also, HSUS sells your information to dozens of other charity too.

Banfield Pet Hospital - My Cat Cannot Walk or Eat
Took our 10 year old cat for Banfield's "routine" exam on April 18, 2011. Stupidly, we had bought into their "health plan" ten years ago. We brought our cat home Monday night. That night he staggered, fell down, howled, seemed disoriented and was unable to eat. Thought it was an effect of sedative given him. Tuesday (work day, so ...) night, he continued to show lack of balance and still unable to eat his dry food (which he loves). Finally called early Wednesday to ask if we could bring him in immediately or if we should take him to an emergency pet hospital. Were told to bring him in at 4 PM for a check -- they indicated no urgency despite our description of his symptoms. At this Wed. exam, they gave him an anti-biotic shot -- possible infection (of course, an extra charge, over and above our monthly plan payment). No improvement Wed. night thru all day Thursday. Finally took him back Friday PM. THIRD veterinarian (yeah, you have no assurance of continuity) examined him and told us "we don't know", "you take him to specialist" at OUR out-of-pocket cost. They would not take any responsibility, financially or medically, for injuring a perfectly healthy cat during a ROUTINE exam. Took our cat to another local veterinarian. He got a thorough exam, with the veterinarian explaining every step and possibilities. Diagnosis -- PUNCTURED EARDRUM! They damaged his eardrum when they cleaned my cat's ears. Got meds for balance, nausea and pain. I hope our cat, SAM, will improve. We are not returning to Banfield! We are not, ever, shopping at Pet Smart. For montly fee, you get lousy care, injury to your pet, no emergency response, misdiagnosis, payment for unncessary care. It's staggering irresponsibility!

The HMS stole My DOGS from My yard and charged Me 50.00 to get them back both of them were in top shape but they said I was not takeing care of them!!! BIGGEST LIE THAT HAS EVER BEEN told!!
BUT THEY WANT ME TO DONATE!!
I do,nt think so!! OFFICER OF MOORESVILLE NC get a real JOB AND stop ROBBING HARD WORKING PEOPLE!!!!
I got caught up in the same scam with the Humane Society of the United States. They troll the internet for people with sad animal stories, reach out like they want to help, only to turn around and harass them for donations.
I've heard of this happening to a lot of people. I did some research and found the HSUS is not what they make themselves out to be. They are being investigated by Congress and the IRS regarding their lobbying efforts and use of the donations they receive.
They are even being sued under the RICO Act. Just do a Google search for hsus fraud and you will see what I mean.
