Thor Industries - KZ rv, Sport Trek line is junk

I have been a camper my entire life. Started with a canvass over a pole (lean to) and owned 9 RV's all the way from a pop up to a Class A motorhome.

We bought a 2019 Sport Trek in June of 2019, brand new, cost $45,000. 3 weeks after getting it home and on our very first trip, when we arrived at our destination (20 miles from home), when we opened up the unit, there was a cabinet door laying on the floor. That night, the shower leaked at the base, the shower door would not latch closed, toilet leaked, it rained and water came in master bedroom window, and many other deficiencies. Fold out sofa had an arch in it as the legs were 1 1l2 inches lower that the head was above the main room floor due to the slide out floor difference. Sofa seat stitching started coming undone. The bunk bed broke when my son climbed into it. And this was ALL on the first night. Had 26 deficient items from a 2 night stay, very first time out! Lower bunk was not fully secured to the unit. Needed a sub wall built by dealer to hold up the bunk. Took to dealer for warranty work. They fixed the cabinet door, only to have it fall off again on the very next trip. They supposedly caulked all the windows and front nose cone. 3rd trip out, window over sink leaked into cabinets.

Master bed slide out did not work correctly, went sideways, and ripped a wall panel out. Then, the master bed frame completely destroyed itself due to the “racking” of the slide out. Outside kitchen came of the slides. Frame is rusted from delivery during the winter, we have snow and road salt in New England!!

Have had 20 or more issues since. Almost 50 issues after only 15 nights of sleeping in it. Unit has been at dealer 4 times and is there now.

I am aware of at least 5 other Sport Treks that are less than one year old have similar issues. One is only 2 weeks older than mine, has mold in it from many water leaks. Slide outs are known issues with these units according to dealer service department. KZ has admitted to me that they had a “bad spell” of manufacturing during the time mine was constructed!!!

I’ve demanded my money back. Resistance by dealer and KZ rv. Have been working on a replacement by them which they have offered to do but can’t come to agreement on exchange and compensation for loss of use, inconvenience, and aggravation. Have filed a complaint with our states attorney general.

Now looking to sue the dealer, KZ, and Thor. Due to all the complaints I am seeing across the country, I am willing to lead a national class action suit. Who wants in??
