While you did add an additional $15 for ringtones, it also costs to download them to your phone. That is why you were charged for GPRS on your statement. If this was a one time event then you will not see any more charges for that. However, if you are going to use the data functions on your device then you can add a $5/50MB feature to your service. I signed up for uverse only after "confirmation" that the service was available in my area. I canceled my service with my previous provider based on the promise of better pricing and service from an AT&T sales person. The service tech showed up on time and worked on installing all the cables needed for service for roughly 4 1/2 hours. After he was basically complete he informed me that he just realized that he didn't have a signal and that uverse was not available in my area. If wasting my entire day was not bad enough, after the tech left I realized that he had actually cut and removed all if my existing coax cable that ran throughout my house to each outlet. He used the coax cable as his method of pulling in the AT&T fiber lines. Customer service for AT&T has done nothing so I am left with no service and no wire. They literally came in and cut and removed my existing system and left me with nothing. All customer service told me was "sorry for you inconvenience".
It was a terrible decision to go with AT&T and it is going to cost me a lot of money for their ***
