Allianz Travel Insurance - Travel Insurance Nightmare

We had a cruise scheduled 2.9-16.19. We were delayed due to severe weather in the Seattle area. We were to leave Seattle on a flight to LA at 9am. Our flight to Seattle was delayed 45 minutes. We arrive in Seattle and missed the connection. We were rebooked on several airlines, one being delayed 2 hrs., and one scheduled to leave at 11:30am. This also was delayed 2 hours. We finally arrive in LA at 3:19. The doors for boarding the cruise closed at 3 pm. We didn't have our luggage, didn't know where it was due to the 3 different airlines, finally got baggage at about 4:40pm. We tried to catch the cruise at the next port but we dint have passports to fly into Cabo San Lucas, Mx. I have sent all the requested documents 3 times. I never get a response from them, and then I get an email indicating that my claim has been on hold. Due to not getting the documents necessary to complete my claim.... COME ON GUYS!!! Use caution when purchasing any trip insurance for any company and make sure you have a the fine print also.

We were scheduled to take a cruise in February. Unfortunately we were delayed due to severe weather in Seattle. We were routed to 2 different airlines to try to get us to LA. Finally were were put on a plane, but didn't arrive until 3:19 pm. The doors to the ship closed at 3 pm. I contacted Allianz on 2.25.19 and provided the documents they requested. I have yet to have any resolution on my claim. They keep asking for additional documents, I have sent them everything I have. The last documents were sent 3.19.19.....nothing! I asked for them to contact me and let me know exactly what documents or document the are needing. No response... If my employer handled their customer base as they do, I wouldn't have a job! BEWARE OF THE PHONY INSURANCE SCAM

AON was graciously providing a refund of 1000.00. Although this didn't come near to the price of the cruise, I guess I should be happy with what they felt was appropriate.
