very dissatisfied. I purchased my furniture in November with the assurance it would be delivered December 15. I ordered a living room set... 10x10x10 area rug.....complete bedroom set....and dining set....I received my beautiful leather sectional....a damaged master bedroom set that I had them completely remove the set. They forgot my rug and dining room set. They offered to return on Saturday December 18 promising delivery at a specific. They showed up with another bedroom set....this time the driver called before bringing it into my home advising it was very badly damaged and he would not even attempt to deliver...the rug was not on the truck nor the dining room set. I was advised by customer service that the rug was on back order as was the dining room set and they could not promise when I would be receiving the bedrooms set!!!! I will NEVER order from them again.

Surplus Freight Furniture

I ordered my daughter a bedroom set to be delivered December 15th. It should have been a FULL SIZED headboard...bedframe...night table...double dresser and mirror and single dresser. I received a damaged QUEEN SIZED headboard....no bedframe...a double damaged dresser...mirror and no single dresser. I have called the queens store several times and NEVER GET A RETURNED CALLED. I went to the queens showroom to be told the manager will call me and there was no one there to assist me. I have reported this business to the better business bureau. I have since done a chargeback with my credit card company and have notified the attorney generals office!

I feel for you Sweetness on the Surplus Freight Furniture problem. It seems here in Canada we are having similar problems, and although my past many years prior to my recent purchase was exceptional, this recent purchase was just the worst experience ever.

I don't know that I will ever purchase from them again. Just this past June, I was moving into a new place from another province and bought a new living room set (leather) and they told me they needed 2 weeks notice prior to delivery date of my new address, I gave them over 3 weeks and had them change the delivery address to my new address. The day I moved in, they were to be there with my stuff between 10 and noon, no one showed up by 2 p.m so I called. Needless to say they not only didn't have my furniture, (it never arrived to their warehouse, but they were trying to reach me at my old phone number and NOT at the new one I gave them.

So after speaking with the manager for quite sometime, expressing to him I now have no livingroom furniture for my new home and they expected me to wait a couple more weeks! He said he would supply me with a floor model, same style, different color until mine came in, at no extra delivery charge, so I agreed. When it arrived that night, it was a brand new set instead, so I figured it was their call, not mine. A week or so later, I call them to see if my set has arrived yet, and found out that the Manager I dealt with had been fired, and that he should not have given me a loaner of a NEW set, so this manager tore my head off, instead of showing any compassion to me as a customer that didn't get what they paid for or had on delivery in the first place.

So after all was said and done, he told me my set would arrive in about a week and he would call me then. When he called me back, finally, he told me, first off, that mine was never ordered in the first place then he told me he found 2 sets of mine in his warehouse!!! So after all was said and done, there were 2 sets, that could have been sent to me in the 1st place, so delivery was no on route to my house, with the right color and style. So, when my set finally arrived, the movers took the plastic off the loveseat, and all was well, but when they got to the sofa, WOW and huge rip in the bottom area that had been GLUED back together from the manufacture !!

I couldn't believe my eyes and neither could the delivery guys, knowing they would have to come back, yet a 3rd time. After speaking once again with the Manager, he advises me to be patient !! Yeah sure...6 weeks later, I had to call him to see what is going on with my set, after several calls first to other employees insisting they can help me, which they could NOT! Finally he gets back to me, only to tell me, he tried to contact me a week after my damaged sofa arrived to me, because he found another one in his Warehouse, but he couldn't reach me by phone...NO WONDER, again, he was calling my old number!

These guys can't get anything right, not the phone numbers, not addresses, not furniture, not inspections, not delivery dates, not a thing...Then he promises delivery on this coming Tuesday, tells me he will call me first thing to set up a delivery time...Well guess what, I had to call again, by 12:30 p.m. because surprise, NO PHONE call from him again...so he finally returns my call 2-1/2 hrs later, with yet another excuse he is doing inventory, funny because I was told you would call me back in 20 minutes after your conference call. So many lies they tell their customers ! Finally it is suppose to arrive later this afternoon and we'll see what shape this one is in???

In my past years, I had great service, great furniture that all stood up well...no complaints, but NOW, with all the change over's from Managers to Sales personelle, this place sucks! They are more concerned with their Sales Quotas, than they are with their customer service or satisfaction....So sad, because as a 16 year customer, this one ends this year! No more....the only thing I found that isn't worth anything in their store are their mattresses, otherwise, everything else is or was fantastic, but NOT anymore !

You just lost a long time customer Surplus Freight! Adios!!!

This is so unprofessional on behalf of the entire Russell simmons empire. I paid $1000 for a bracelet that I thought was a great purchase, since part of the proceeds go to starving children in africa.

Now I have a broken bracelet that they refuse to repair.

I hope they arent treating the kids in Africa with the same service.....
