Hello, my name is Devin and I recently purchased a Subaru from Downtown Subaru of Oakland, California. The Subaru that I have purchased was used, but to my surprise, abused. The vehicle came with dents all over and it also came with an eyesore of a scratch on the driver side(did not mention any of this to me). To add insult to injury, they lied to me saying my vehicle was financed and that my first payment would be Feb. 3rd(It was December 22nd at the time of sale). I went home loving the Subaru (minus its faults) just to find out that I really wasn't financed. Days after "owning" my vehicle I noticed my Experian credit report was ringing off the hook. I see that my credit report was being pulled. I called many of these banks worrying that It was fraudulent activity just to find out that the dealership was still trying to get financing for me. I called the dealership that same day and was told I am being financed and that I should be receiving the paperwork in the mail soon. Week later...NO PAPERWORK. So I called again and was told that they were working on it and that they will give me a call back(NEVER DID). I called 3 more times and received the same response. I then proceeded to call Subaru of America(Great Customer Service by the way) and notified them of the issue I was experiencing. The nice gentleman went ahead and called the dealership for me to get more information(which he successfully did). Unfortunately, after his involvement was finished, I was told that I would receive a callback soon...NEVER DID. I never missed a payment and now I am stressed because I also made a trade in of my 2011 Ford Mustang, in which they have 21 days to pay off(legally) in which they are way past that. So I am still paying my car note for my mustang and insurance for both( not to mention stressing over the new vehicle that I supposedly "own". I love my Subie and I love my Subie community, but please... I need help as this is starting to ruin my love for Subaru.
