I had a similar experience. The information I provided over the phone was completely garbled by the time it was printed on the app.

I called to correct these gross errors and USAA said "Okay, I will change them if you really want". Two weeks later he called and was still using the old incorrect data. One week before the closing he says it will be "close" as to whether we get approved...long after telling us no sweat and ignoring three major income sources.

We were not sure of approval until the actual day of closing. What a nightmare.
