Be careful in downloading this app or using this service.

Teladoc may invade your personal privacy, watching and monitoring you without your permission.

A Teladoc physician auto-opted me into Teladoc's Remote Patient Monitoring program and hacked my mobile and laptop devices, installling Teladoc's remote-monitoring software which was then used to take private photos, record and stream videos, and watch me from a remote location without my permission.

Shortly after, the doctor gained unauthorized access to my Verizon account, ported my SIM/phone number to another mobile provider, then, using Teladoc's software, accessed my Bluetooth audio, video camera and microphone to take photos, screenshots, record videos (watching me as I got dressed/undressed, bathe, shower, etc) and eavesdrop on phone calls and record private conversations.

On Teladoc's website, they highlight the benefits of "convenient care". Well, what's so "convenient" about care when patients, existing or prospective, are denied of basic human rights?

The right to privacy.

Where physicians get to 'come into one's home, the place where we live, work, and learn' and do as they please, even if it means exploitation, retaliation or yet, forceful invasion of one's privacy. Where doctor's are granted electronic-script writing privileges and provided with open access to sensitive information such as medical history, health records, and genetic information and simply by mere association and regardless of their relationship with the physician, can access an individual's electronic health records.

Today, this (Teladoc) physician is still logged into all of my devices, accounts, and apps, and refuses to stop surveilling me at home.

I've reported this abuse to Teladoc corporate, plus filed complaints with the FBI, local police, Federal Trade Commission, Department of Human Rights, Health & Human Services, Office of Civil Rights, and still waiting on response.
