Guns Midwest - GunsMidwest Does Not Honor Their Purchase Agreements

Purchased two firearms from this company, selecting a local dealer whose credentials were on file with this company. GunsMidwest shipped one firearm but not the other, claiming the local dealer's credentials were not on file with a specific distributor. If the license was not on file, it was the responsibility of Guns Midwest to forward these as it was THEIR distributor. They did nothing, and when I finally cancelled this part of the order, they refused to refund all the monies paid, for a mistake their on their end. This is well documented from my end as well as on the part of the local dealer. My advice to others is never do business with this company. Better Business Bureau in Kansas (where GunsMidwest is based) rates this company 2 out of 5.

Guns Midwest, in their reply, states that I selected a dealer whose Federal Firearms License had expired, AND THIS IS A BLATANT LIE. I selected, from THEIR drop-down menu of CURRENT FFL dealers they have on file, Your selected FFL Dealer: H Guns & Ammo 7537 CARROLLTON PIKE SUITE # 2 GALAX VA 276236**** Midwest stated I had selected a dealer whom I had not contacted, and whose FFL had expired, even though the above is from their website as well as being copied from the actual account.

IF this is true (that the dealer's FFL was expired), since Midwest DID ship one of two firearms to this dealer, then by their own admission Midwest broke the law in shipping a firearm to a non-licensed dealer. So which is it? Did Guns Midwest break the law by shipping a firearm to a dealer whose license had expired, OR were they simply in Breach of Contract and in so doing refuse to refund payment?

I am forwarding this data, meaning the admission by Guns Midwest whereas they shipped a firearm to dealer whose FFL was expired, to the ATF as well as the DEA, who regulate such transactions. Should Guns Midwest continue their false statements, expect Guns Midwest proprietor to be prison-bound.

Reply from Guns Midwest: We provide customers with a list of all licensed firearm dealers in the US at checkout. We make it clear they are to select the dealer of which they have contacted to setup and verify they are willing to accept the transfer.

Unfortunately that was not accomplished by the customer in this case and they selected and out of business dealer they never contacted. Unfortunately they feel we are responsible for the fact they did not following the universal process for online firearm purchases. They DID ship one of two firearms ordered to Harrisons Guns & Ammo; a point Jim Harrison has verified.

Therefore and by their own admission, they did knowingly ship a firearm to a dealer whose Federal Firearms License had expired, which is a felony, and they lied about it. Guns Midwest is a scam.
