Did Not Cancel Subscription and Billing when Asked To.
I decided to cancel a Gunsmithing course I signed up for with Penn Foster. I was laid off and could no longer afford the cost.
Penn Foster continued to acrue monthly fees even after I had tried to cancel the course.
They now say I owe $770.10 and sent this to collection even after I discontinued my regular autopay. Now it shows up on my credit report.
- Too hard to find out how to cancel a subscription to a course
Preferred solution: Call off the collection and report the changes to the credit report companies.

Loss of Scholarship
My daughter was due to start college this week. All she lacked was 2 assignments and she could get her diploma.
I enrolled a second child and the guy who signed her up changed my first daughters information instead of creating a new lead (what Ive been told). My first daughter lost her scholarship because Ive been calling for THREE WEEKS trying to FIX her profile. Im beyond mad and its not fair to her. She was adopted through foster care last year and shes the first person to graduate high school in her whole family.
This experience has made an exciting time extremely scary and unknown.
So, thanks PENN FOSTER for screwing up my daughters scholarship and wasting over 10 hours of my time over the past 3 weeks. I would never send my CAT to get an education from your institution.
