Pearle Vision Complaints and Reviews
I mistakenly bought a Groupon for an exam/eyeglasses discount package for Pearle Vision. The eye doctor was very good, but the support staff are the absolute worst I have ever encountered. They do not know what "service" is, they just try to upcharge you for every single thing possible and are so rigid in the way they treat their customers. Several bad experiences there ended up costing me more money and a lot of hassle. The most recent one was...Read more
Went to Pearle Vision Ferndale, MI for simple reading glasses. I was told 7-10 days but "probably sooner". 7 days-nothing, 10 days-nothing. I called and was then told it was 7-10 business days. 10 business days pass and still nothing. Called again, now it's 14 business days. I waited again. At 14 business days, still nothing. I called again and was told they would contact the lab and call me back. 1 wait 2 days and still nothing! I call again...Read more
I purchased some glasses for my daughter and I. I was encouraged to get the insurance. I purchased it for my daughter because she always break her glasses. To make a long story short, I took the glasses to be repaired (the arm was broke). I was advised it would be twenty five dollars to fix that. What was the purpose of me purchasing the insurance? This was my first time at this company and my last. I will continue to go to Americas Best. I will...Read more

Your prices on frames and lenses are extremely to high ridiculous. And the serves sucks in chicago riverpoint have been going there over 9 years never again .
I have what i like to think is a rimless pair of glasses that is nothing out of the ordinary. However i was beginning to think otherwise when i set out to have my glasses repaired as one of my lens had come loose. mos t places i visited did not have a clue as to what my glasses even needed and some even tried to sell me new glasses as mine were not repairable. i was visiting world market on hwy 280 and saw a pearle vision next door so i...Read more
Peare Vision misdiagnosed my 5 year old with an astigmatism in her left eye that required her to wear glasses constantly. Good thing I had enough sense to get a second opinion! I wonder if the optometrists there know how to actually perform a true exam or only rely on the results of those machines. And the prescription they gave was super high - trying to give my kid headaches to make an extra buck??? Shame on you. What a poor practice!! Never...Read more
I had a very badly damaged frame, in particular the right arm, thought it might have to be replaced. Karen used several sets of small pliers, slowly and carefully manipulating and adjusting the frame, even cautioning me that if it were to break, then it would need replacing, and there is no guarantee, the frame is aged and weak, but saving me from paying another $150 or so. This is very much above and beyond what was expected, and takes a...Read more
These people are deceptive in their disclosure about the cost of glasses. Told me 3 times they have a mix and match for $300 or half off if no insurance or buy one get one free. Picked the lenses and frames, went to check out and it's $810!!!! Of course I halted the order and asked why the difference. They said oh, yeah, huh. Ok. $485. I said what happened to half off of $300?????. They said that was 40% off. Ok...what happened to 50% off? so...Read more
I've been going here for about 15 years and real like Dr. Eisner. The problem is there prices on glasses and lenses. You would think with insurance the price would be better, but it's not. My insurance is EyeMed. Do you know who owns EyeMed and Pearle Vision? It's an Italian company called Luxottica. Look that name up and you'll see all the other vision and insurance companies they own. They set the price very high because there is hardly any...Read more
Bought a Groupon to receive a discount at Pearl Vision as gift for my wife. Should have called them before I made the purchase. They wanted $139 for frames and told us that progressive lenses start at $309. More than we normally would pay. A word to the wise, if Groupon and Pearl seem to good to be true....call and get the details before buying and being surprised. To be sure, we let Groupon know how we felt about the deal and they...Read more
