- - I am mask-exempt and have a disability placard.
- - I have a 40% hearing loss.
- - A clerk demanded I cover my nose; I explained exemption; manager was indifferent.
I object to masks on every possible level, in addition I have exemptions and a disability placard, hearing deficit 40%, etc, etc. I was tersely accosted by a clerk this am that i must put my scarf over my nose.
I attempted to explain that i am exempted, and he got angry and threatened to call management. I asked at check out to speak to a manager, i spent well over $200. For grocies and was in and out by 8 am. The manager was cordial but completely indifferent to understanding, listening, clearly not able or willing to converse with me.
He told me i had other options, instacart was the only other option. Terrible option and i live in an area where i am charged too much for these sketchy services.
I informed him that the store was in fact violating the americans with disability act and that he and the store can be held liable for their actions. He did not care.
Preferred solution: Set aside a few early hours a week where people who CANNOT safely wear a mask are free to shop.
