AI Highlights
  • Called Paynes Automotive Bingle to schedule an oil change but they couldn't help.
  • Says reason is false; high prices noted; will take F-150 to Ford.

I called paynes automotive on bingle to schedule for a oil change . The guy who answered the phone asked me my name after giving it to him he asked me could I hold on and I did comes back to the phone and says to me he won't be able to help me I asked why he told me the last time I was there I got into a altercation with one of the employees and won't be able to get service there . This lie is soooo far fetched and ridiculous I refused to get any work done other than a oil change there prices are ridiculously high I didn't get any of the work that they recommended and that's the problem I wouldn't recommend any one to this place a dealership would be best than paynes automotive they can't pay there bills so they jack up there prices anyone would be out of there minds to allow them to service there vehicles I'm disssapointed in a big fat lie that was told and from now on I will take my f150 to ford.

Honesty and Integrity that is rarely found is at Payne's

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
AI Highlights
  • Paynes Automotive quoted a cheaper engine replacement and covered the tow.
  • Jason said the engine was fine and only the AC compressor was needed.

After being informed at the local Chevorlet dealership service department that my vehicle's engine was shot and had to be replaced at a cost of over $6000, I contacted Paynes Automotive for a second quote on the engine replacement as they were an authorized Jasper replacement engine installer. We agreed on a price that would save me almost a thousand dollars and also agreed to pay for the tow from the dealership to their shop.

The following day i recieved a call from Jason at Paynes Automotive that nearly knocked me over with shock. He told me they were driving the car around and the engine was fine, and that the AC had failed and the belt connecting the AC to the engine was holding the engine and once they cut that belt loose all was good with the engine. These guys could have charged me thousands for a new engine and I would never have known.

Instead they did the right thing and told me I only needed a new AC compressor and saved me thousands. Paynes Automotive has earned a customer for life.

Pros:
  • Honest dealings

Childish Management

AI Highlights
  • Work on a personal vehicle was unsatisfactory, prompting a BBB complaint.
  • Account was canceled due to an employee, unrelated to me or the company.

Been doing business with Payne's for years on my company truck. One of my employees recently decided to have them do some work on his personal vehicle.

The work performed was not satisfactory. After trying to get the problem resolved, he finally resorted to filing a BBB complaint. Today I tried to get my company truck dropped off at which point I was told that I no longer have an account with them. I asked why and they said because of the employee that works here.

Completely unrelated to me or the company, but because he works here they cancelled my account.

I have never been involved with a company who acted so childish. My reccomendation is save yourself the headache and take your vehicle to a company run by adults.

The complaint is by Jared Bass of Floors, Inc. The company brings 1 truck to us 1 time a year.

Our policy for credit accounts is for customers with many more vehicles and multiple visits per year with each vehicle. Mr. Bass is upset he does not have a charge account with us any longer. The credit decision was made at the beginning of the calendar year.

He hasn't been around in over a year so he didn't know and is now mad. His employee's "recent" experience with us was 18 months ago, which was reported to the BBB in April of this year.

His complaint is he thinks it our fault a dealership upsold him something he really didn't need but was taken advantage of by the dealership and wants us to pay for it. Payne's Automotive = heartless theives

AI Highlights
  • -March 2009: Payne's Automotive said serpentine belt cracks.
  • -Two months later, belt, idler pulley, and water pump were replaced after ongoing noise.

I took my vehicle to Payne's Automotive in on Bingle Rd. in Houston Texas in March of 2009.

I was told I had cracks in my serpentine belt and would soon need a replacement. About two months later I had an oil change and went ahead and had the belt, idler pulley and water pump replaced. Two thousand miles later, I was hearing a loud shreiking shrill coming from the belt area. I took it somewhere else initially and was told it was the belt.

In disbelief, I took it to 4 more places and was told it was the cheap belt. Upon returning to Payne's Automotive, Gloria told me it was the tensioner. I left and took it to two more places and was told it was the belt. Needless to say, I had to have the belt replaced since the one the placed on my vehicle was cheap and expanding too much and allowing for all the noise.

I just believe it was horribly heartless of them to send me and my three children off in a vehicle with a belt that didn't not have a chance of survival.

Since I don't drive that often, that is only reason the belt didn't break on us. To God be the Glory.
