Verified ReviewerPayless Repair Bills do not respond to their listed phone no. and the email address is undeliverable.
On April 2, 2024, I signed up with Payless Repair Bills and paid $195.00. Later that day, I called and left a message on Payless's number, 844-409-****, to cancel my account.
Instead of receiving a callback, I received Your Auto Protection Policy booklet in the mail. Then, Mepco withdrew $147.74 from my account. On May 6th and 7th, I made several calls to both Payless and Mepco trying to cancel the account. I experienced another Mepco withdrawal from my account for $147.74 later in May.
I called both Payless and Mepco on May 31st to no avail. I sent an email to info@***.com explaining all this, but the email bounced back as undeliverable. On July 30th, $149.00 was withdrawn from my account by Payless, which should never have happened because Mepco was handling their billing. My bank, Navy Federal Credit Union, has recovered two payments made to Mepco for $147.74 so far.
I recently received yet another withdrawal from Mepco and called them. They said they couldn't cancel it, and that Payless had to. There are many different companies mentioned, which is interesting. Payless Repair Bills is the main name while Mepco deals with the monthly billings.
Royal Administration Series, Inc. is the administrator, and the Payment Plan Provider is Sing for Service, LLC. So, who exactly is the responsible party? I cancelled my debit card so no more funds will be withdrawn by Payless or Mepco.
Payless states in their booklet that a full 100% refund is due if the contract is canceled within 30 days, which I have attempted as demonstrated.
There have been no claims, so the $195.00 downpayment and the $149.00 withdrawn on July 30th should be fully refunded to me for a total of $344.00. I believe the company is a scam.

Preferred solution: Full refund
User's recommendation: Run away as fast as you can.
I canceled the same day I signed up and they keep charging me.
Run, Run, Run!Attached you will find two (2) photos of my cell phone calls.
One showing that I called on April 02, 2024, the same day that I signed up for Payless Repair Bills coverage and paid $195.00.
I left a message for a call back and said that wanted to cancel my policy.
The second call was on May 31, 2024, after I discovered that my policy had not been canceled because $147.75 was deducted
from my account on May 28, 2024. I left a message that I thought my policy had been canceled on April 02 and to return my call.
Neither call received a call back.
I canceled my policy within 24 hrs.
of signing up.
I should get a full refund. At this point it is $195.00 + $147.75 = $342.75.
When can I expect a full refund?

Scam and I want a refund
Payless Repair Bills called me up telling me they offer coverage on my whole engine. For only a $100 down then in the next 3 months I will only have to pay $141.00 per month.
Michael ext# 202 said that a packet is being sent...
that was 3 weeks ago from this date today. I reported Payless Repair Bills to The BBB.

Verified Reviewer |Inability to secure refunds for policies declined within 30-day review period
The salesman misrepresented to me that OEM parts would be used in repairs when selling me the extended warranty products for my two vehicles. After reviewing the contracts I realized this would not be the case.
Additionally, the contract listed all the reasons they would not cover repairs, which included "heat" as a source for the failure. I sent letters to EFG, the administrator, and to Payless Auto Repair. The letter to EFG was delivered and the policies were cancelled within the 30-day review period, but the letter to Payless was returned for insufficient address, though it was addressed as indicated in the contract. I called Payless and was told I needed to add "Suite 122" to the address.
I sent that letter back through and a second letter to indicate same. Both letters were again returned for insufficient address. A Payless customer service representative told me they would not refund the money for the first month's payment charged by MEPCO to me without a written notice. I've disputed the charges with my credit card company.
Also, they charged me a service fee of $49 for each contract which they say is not refundable.
By the way, that money charged against my credit card account by MEPCO was within the 30-day review period. My advice, stay clear of these uninvited car warranty solicitors.
User's recommendation: Hang up the phone when you get a call from someone who is selling a car warranty!
Fraud
I called to cancel in Sept of 2021. They admit to having received my call.
I sent in a form to cancel because they said they have to have proof my vehicle was destroyed from the insurance company. 4 months later they are still charging me. ( I would have acted sooner but was recovering from the accident and not in the best shape to deal with things) I have never filed a claim, just wanted to cancel policy, of which I was told I would get a prorated return, when I was signing up for service, if I ever did cancel. I ask for another form to mail in and today it was returned, after 4 months, with the postal sticker saying undeliverable and no forwarding address on file.
The last call I made to them, they said they did not do refunds, even though they admitted to knowing my pickup was totalled in Sept of 2021.
Also, even though I had proof and was including such from State Farm. "We dont do business that way" is the exact quote from the man i spoke with on the phone.
They charged me over $600 after they new it was totalled, tell me they wont refund any payments they charged me, say they never received my first form letter cancelling policy and then move and dont have a forward to get the second form that was addressed to the location on the form.
If this is first rate fraud, I dont know what is.
User's recommendation: Do not buy, hang up immediately and block their number
SCAM....not a company or affiliated in any way
These 3rd rate pawn shop idiots with a usps account send letters out once a week and call all the damn time to get you to take on an extended warranty for a car you do not own/ may not own anymore.
If you try to get them to put you on a DND list you spend an hour in telephone *** and it still will not happen.
If I could find these nameless/faceless goons I would sue them!
User's recommendation: Stay far far away!
Payless Repair Bills does not honor their warranty contracts. There reasoning is if it breaks on your car like a water pump it was preexisting for many months. An mechanic would not say that.
The contract is a fraudulent contract not counting the 30 days correctly for an active warranty. They say 30 days it was 32 days on my contract which they incorrectly calculated days wrong.
Preferred solution: Deliver product or service ordered
User's recommendation: Do not do business with Payless Repair Bills.

I agreed to vehicle warranty 8-2-21 based on letter received through mail. Paid $195.00 and to pay $131.88 for 24 months, which would give me the Platinum Deluxe coverage for my vehicle for 60 mos/50,000 miles.
I learned the co's name was Payless Repair Bills and the administrator is CarGuard, which was not shown on my Final Notice letter received. After we hung up, checked several sources, realized this co had some very negative reviews. I spoke to Marvin 8-3, who would not allow me to terminate except with their form. Will mail.

MEPCO/ Payless Repair Bills! I've called MEPCO several times to try to cancel the policy.
MEPCO says I have to call Payless Repair Bills to cancel. I've made numerous calls to them and NEVER get to talk to anyone. I've left numerous messages for a specific person (that sold the policy) to return my call! NO ONE AND I MEAN NO ONE has called me back for months!
I haven't had any luck going to the website to Terry to cancel it myself to no avail!
But, the money is auto paid every month!! This is ridiculous!
