Fraud beware they will take money months after you return your rental and charge extra fees.

This company continues to take money out my account unauthorized. They take different amounts and I have had to cancel my card and still having problems. I will be filing a lawsuit against them and my bank.

Unable to reach someone

Im calling to renew my rental due to my job will not release me to return the car. I tried calling the toll free number and they closed CST and Im in PST time zone. The local number no one ever answer. What to do?

Payless Car Rental - Complaint
I show up at the airport to pick up my rental they ask me my name and immediately say to me we dont honor same-day reservations and we dont have a vehicle. I made my reservation earlier this morning its now 3:30 PM someone could have the decency to call. This is unbelievable. Wont be making my 6 PM engagement that I want be speaking at.

Double billing. Customer service is very bad. I still didn't get any reaction. My deposited was also billed and not given back. I rent the car from march 19 to 31st of 2022.

You people are scAM ARTISTS!! I am so upset of the fact that I didnt read your reviews before using your services...now here i am like so many others, overcharged, and I cant ever reach anyone to find out how I can get my money back. Only voicemail. ,.DO NOT RENT FROM THIS PLACE...THEY OVERCHARGE YOU THEN YOU CANT REACH THEM FOR A RESOLUTION. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.

A bill, with no details, was sent to me, saying I owed payless money for damage done to a rented car. When I picked up the car, I mentioned to the attendant there were several areas of the car that appeared to be in an accident. He said take pictures, as there was no paper work to be filled out. I have pictures.

Came after me for prior damage to car

I picked up a rental in Denver Airport that had damage to the whole car, i.e., dents, scratches, front bumper about to fall off. It took 10 minutes to walk around the car and have the attendant take notes of all the damage.

I also took pics of everything to cover my butt. A month after I returned the car, their claims office emailed me requesting $1,800 worth of repairs to the damaged car. THANK GOD I TOOK PICTURES!!! I asked where the notes were from the attendant, they said they didn't have any notes.

I sent an email and attached all the pictures I took of the damaged car and waited for an apology letter and letting me know the claim was dropped. Three weeks later I call them back (took 1/2 hour to reach the right person), and they said the claim was dropped last month.

No email, no phone call, nothing! Payless needs some serious work on their processes, because right now, they don't seem to have any that work, not for the customer anyway.

Preferred solution: Free week rental and apology and explanation of what is being done, so this doesn't happen again to me or anyone else.

User's recommendation: TAKE PICTURES OF ANY DAMAGE TO THE CAR BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE LOT AND KEEP THEM! This could save you $ thousands! Don't rely on the person taking notes to actually do anything with it.

Do not rent of them I am still wanting on a refund they have card our card 3,600. For us having the car for 4 days . And the said we did not return the car they can look on camera and see we did . Our next step is getting a lawyer

Made several attempts to contact billing. Still not resolved.During my last phone calll I was promised a partial refund I agreed to and then was hung up on, this was after being on the phone for 45 minutes. I called back again but this time it was a different agent, I didn't feel like wasting another hour on the phone. We travel constantly and Will never use or recommend this service to family or friends. Ray Del Angel 815-693-**** is my contact info.

Preferred solution: I want my $450 returned. I already paid $600 on 7/17/22 at the counter. It took over an hour to get my car. This is ridiculous. $1000 for a rental.

I was overcharged $59 thru Payless error (sloppiness)

i returned a car rental 30 minutes prior to the return time on the due date at McCarren Airport in Las Vegas. there was no person at the return, just a drop box for the keys. after a couple days of efforting to speak with someone at Payless I finally spoke with customer service at Avis regarding a gas fee overcharge. she informed me that her notes suggest that i returned the car a day late. Check the video tape.
