I contacted Shannon Kiley, the owner of "Pawstruk Cattery" wanting to buy a Genetta kitten for breeding. I put down the required $500 for one of the girls she had in her litter, and then specified that I was interested in the brown spotted female.
After 6 weeks of asking for pictures with no response, she finally responded with photos and asking for the remainder of the amount due on the cat, however, it was only then made aware that the kitten had a kink in her tail! She discounted the cat by a small % but I was not interested in a pet quality cat. I asked her for my deposit back since the only option was to buy a much higher priced kitten, or a "defected" cat that would not be breeder quality. Shannon has REFUSED to give me back my $500 deposit!
I think she operated in a very underhanded and shady way, concealing this kittens possible genetic defect. I also find it deplorable that she would continue to offer a cat who has a possible genetic defect as a breeder! That is not what someone who wants to further strengthen a new line of breed should be doing. That was a monetary only driven choice.
I have continued to demand a return of my money to no avail. I would never do business with this woman!
