Terrible customer service

I have tried to get this company to give me a quote since April of 2017 - today is June 10th 2017, I have stopped by twice, called several times, they took my information, someone is yet to show up at my hose. I live in the neighborhood and wanted to give them my business "go local". No calls - how horrible is this places customer service. They just lost my business. All they had to do, say they are busy, we will get back to you, why the silence? Guess you are doing well, you do not need anyone's business. Sad, so sad that you stay in business.

They won't stick to their quote

Patriot Fence - They won't stick to their quote
I called for a fencing quote and they sent MATT who arrived at the appointed time. He viewed my yard and gave me a written quote. A day later I called the office and had to leave a message for them to call me back and said I was accepting the quoted price. When they called back they said they would not do the job. I asked why they quoted the job if they had no intention on doing it? The office girl gave me some sorry answer that made no sense to me. I then asked to have the owner call me to explain why they would not do the job and I've not heard back from them.

Extremely poor customer service

I contacted this fencing company upon recommendation from a company that stained our deck last season, and the company came out fairly quickly--although he did not get me a quote until 4 days later and failed to supply pictures and property addresses of completed projects as requested. I really liked the owner at first, but I usually don't go off of first impressions, since I have extensive experience with sales people, so I know they can put on a shine but when it comes down to trouble they can have attitudes from ***. So I checked the businesses BBB rating and ones online. When I found the comment about the company possibly being out of business and the other one stating problems with posts, with the owners refusal to fix the problem, I contacted the owner directly through e-mail to ask him to explain the problem. Shawn stated that this ordeal had ruined his BBB rating, and that this problem with fencing was due to the complaining customers having a drainage issue on their property--so he refused to fix the fence on the property until the drainage issue was fixed. He also stated that the company had never been out of business as a prior person had implied--although this skirted the question of him not answering his phone--and I told him that if he sent me references and addresses that I would think about using his company outside of what I had found online and with the BBB. The company came out on Monday the 12th at 3:30 pm, at that time Shawn had told me he had an emergency, couldn't give me a bid right away, and needed to send me one via e-mail; he said he would get me one that night. I e-mailed him almost 5 times between Monday and Friday, the first time asking for an explanation about the BBB and the other ratings, the other times asking for references and bids; I did not get the latter information until Friday afternoon, 4:00 pm--approximately 4 days later--with no references or pictures of properties he had completed attached to the e-mail. So on the spur of the moment I opted to contact the BBB for more information on how they rate, considering it took the company so long to make a turn around, and since they failed to provide property addresses and pictures. The BBB advised me that they would never adjust a company's rating on something that was beyond their control--such as a drainage issues. So this company wasn't exactly honest with me like I suspected. So in turn I e-mailed the person that gave us the referral, explained the problem with the current company, and asked for a recommendation for another. About 10:00 pm on 03/18/2012, I received an extremely curt e-mail from the owner's wife. In this e-mail she yelled at me, told me I had problems comprehending what I was reading online--which made me laugh considering I have worked on verbiage in contracts w/ corporate attorneys in the past, and I am currently almost finished with an English and Social Psychology degrees, working on being admitted to grad school--that she wasn't going to waste anymore of their time responding to the e-mail that the referring company sent them"”this referringcompany merely wanted an explanation for their BBB rating and the ones online, since this company's reputation is on the line when he refers people to other companies. Then she accused me of being too demanding of their service; she said they got the bid back in 3 days, when they didn't, not to mention all the other companies got theirs back in less than 24 hours; she said they gave me bids 6 different ways, which they didn't; and she complained about how they give quotes for free with customers like myself simply wasting their time. Then she brought God into the conversation, which is abhorrent at best and offends God's good nature; she said she'd pray for me and then blessed me, implying a have a rotten soul for notifying the referring company about their current business problems. I didn't know whether to laugh outloud or be flaberghasted. I'm glad I didn't hire this company now, simply because of the abhorrent way they communicate with customers; I can see why the previous customer brought the BBB into the problem. I know not every company is perfect, and I do expect to see some bad ratings here and there, especially with the BBB; even Guier Fence has some bad ones. What I do expect is that the business gives me a logical explanation for the prior problems or online posts, and that the explanation jives with how the BBB does business or how contract law works as a whole, and that they communicate in a professional manner via e-mail and online. I would have hired him if he gave me a timely bid and sent the pictures of properties and addresses as I requested; he didn't, and he failed to get me part of the needed info to hire him as requested .
