Cannot get table inside my house

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
AI Highlights
  • - Table arrived assembled and won't fit through a standard doorway.
  • - Ad claimed no assembly needed; disassembly is required to move it inside.

Cannot get table inside my house I ordered a 45 inch round table that for some reason got delivered already put together. Whos genius idea was it to ship these tables already put together and now I am unable to even get it inside my house.

I have to take apart the entire table just to get it through the doorway. I am regretting purchasing this table.

I spoke with customer service and they said on the advertisement it says no assembly necessary, but how do you guys expect to fit a 45 inch round table through a standard door? Whoever came up with the idea in the board meeting to ship the table already put together should be fired immediately

User's recommendation: Do not buy this table

Frustrated about recent order

AI Highlights
  • - _called to confirm stock; was told it was out and would ship in 2–3 days.
  • - A week later, no update; learned it was out of stock and order was canceled.

I had Personally called the company to make sure that the product I wanted to order was in stock and I was assured that it wasnt stock and that it would be shipped within 2 to 3 days. Almost a week later I have had no update on my product so I decided to try and call the company and see what was going on.

I was on hold for half an hour and found out that it was no longer in stock and that theyre just going to cancel my order on the day it was supposed to arrive for a birthday gift.

Super disappointed about this company and it is still advertising that it has this item in stock online. I would strongly advise using this company to purchase anything.

User's recommendation: Stay away from this company

REFUSED TO EXCHANGE OR REPAIR UNIT UNDER WARRANTY.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
AI Highlights
  • - 4000w outdoor heater failed under warranty; replacement parts sent; reviewer out $600.
  • - AEI claimed they never spoke to my electrician; Guy was rude.

I purchased a 4000w outdoor electric heater from these guys. After a year(unit was still under warranty) the unit stopped working.

They sent me new heating elements, but no go. I asked them to replace the unit. They had me call the techs at AEI, which I did, and they spoke with my electrician. They agreed that since both men could not be present to inspect the unit, that I could then send it back for a replacement.

The woman in customer service claims that the techs at AEI claimed that they never spoke to my Electrician, so no return was allowed. The fact that the unit does not work, and the fact that we installed another unit that does work was not enough to convince them that the original unit was at fault, so they told me I was out my $600 purchase price. Iam in New York, so I cannot sue them in California, would cost way too much and they know that.

One of the techs at AEI was named Guy, and he was very rude and inconsiderate to my needs when I called a 2nd time to try and resolve this issue. I would NOT recommend anyone doing business with these guys, who clearly do NOT stand behind their products.

This was for PatioProductsUSA.com, Not for PatioFurnitureUSA.com. Not sure if it is the same company or not.

Original review Apr 28, 2015

Lots of problems with this company. First...it took me about 6 weeks to get the right product.

First one disappeared (?), and then it took multiple emails to get them to send me another. Actually...they didn't respond to email. I had to call them twice until someone sent me a replacement. I received the product finally.

Turns out it was too large for the space. I did not unpack it from the crate and called for a return. I was told that I needed to ship back the item (through a truck carrier) by myself and send them tracking so they could refund me (completely backwards and a real pain). Item was returned on 4/16 in original packing.

They didn't refund me... I had to call them yet again to get a refund. But wait...there's more (its like an infomercial). My $2,600 item that I sent back on my own dime in new condition...

I get a $1,900 refund... alas...they have a 25% restocking fee on my new item shipped directly back to them!! It is absurd.

Avoid this company at all costs... warning to all...

DEFECTIVE TEAK TABLE

AI Highlights
  • - Teak table expands to over 120 inches; wires rusted.
  • - Defect acknowledged.
  • - Repair at Stamford warehouse; home service denied.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!

I purchased the largest TEAK TABLE they sell.

Expands to over 120 inches. The first time we tried to extend it, we saw that the wires under the table that control the extension were COMPLETELY RUSTED. This s an exterior teak table that shouldn't have been made of anything that rusts. PATIO.COM acknowledged the defect and told me that in order toget it fixed, I HAD TO BRING THE TABLE TO THEIR WAREHOUSE IN STAMFORD.

This table weighs over 200 pounds and is enormous, impossible for a consumer without a trailer to move. They REFUSE to come to my house to fix it and want to charge me $300 to transport it back and forth to correct this MANUFACTURER defect. They also refuse to supply me with a copy of the warranty after several email requests. Pathetic, and I will NEVER purchase ANYTHING from PATIO.COM again, and will discourage my friends from as well.

"100% customer satisfaction"?? Ha.

Do not buy from Patio.com

AI Highlights
  • - All eight chairs were defective on opening; only one near perfect.
  • - Store credit only; timing policy unclear; exchanges with another maker increased cost.

zWe would like to report our experience of buying patio furniture from Patio.com. On 9/3/2012, we bought a set of furniture (a table and 8 chairs) with a total price on sale $1900, each chair cost $300 and on sale price was $200.

We did not open our purchase last Fall because we were planning to rebuild our patio, and left all chairs and table in the box. When our patio was finally completed last week. On 8/25/13, we finally opened the boxes to put out new furniture on our new patio. Unexpectedly, we found all chairs had minor to major defects that we could not use them, only one out of eight chair was near perfect condition.

All chairs were not built right. We called Patio.com next day, but we were blamed that we should have inspected them upon our purchase, and we were given hard time that the purchase was almost a year ago. There is no written policy on the receipt and on the company's website that we cannot return and exchange after certain amount of time. In fact, the receipt states that "...

any other returns, cancellations, or modifications will be issued store credit only ..." We took all chairs back to the store and showed that there was no evidence that we could have damaged the chairs, because they were still wrapped and boxes were in perfect condition. We demanded the person who sold us the chairs to do something. This is the first time we purchase from Patio.com, but we did not expect to have this bad quality from a well known patio furniture retail company and certainly not from a cost $200 (on sale price) for each chair (not even one out of eight chairs is perfect). After a heated argument, we were offered to exchange either same chairs (but will not guarantee how long it takes to order) or other chairs.

To avoid getting bad quality from the manufacture (Woodard) of these chair again, we exchanged chairs from different manufacture (Hanamint) but cost us $800 more ($400 per chair but $300 on sale). We inspected and assembled them next day. Again, we found two out of eight chairs were defected and we made another trip back to the store for exchange. Overall, we are disappointed with our experience with Patio.com.

It does not live up to its promise and advertise "We carry the latest collections from the highest quality manufacturers ... we are able to guarantee our customers the lowest prices on the finest products." The amount of money we spent on these chairs does not represent their expected quality. Customer service provided is poor.

No apology was offered for our experience. We will never purchase again from Patio.com, and would like to share our experience with others.

Merchandise ordered not delivered

AI Highlights
  • - Ordered outdoor table, umbrella stand, and table cover from Paramus store on 4/20; only the table arrived and the other items were not delivered.

I ordered an outdoor table, umbrella stand and table cover from the Paramus store on 4/20. The table was delivered the next week.

I never received the other 2 items. I called and spoke to both the salesman and the manager and was then promised the stuff 4 separate times. At this point in trying to contact them the customer service center told me to call the store and the store kept promising delivery. When They still didnt deliver, I tried to call and they never returned my call or sent my merchandise.

Definitely don't buy from this company.

They lie, are rude, and don't care at all about the customer.

Patio.com

AI Highlights
  • - Poor quality furniture.
  • - Prices are high.
  • - Owners David and Mitchell Ross were rude.
  • - A Patio.com truck cut them off and they veered into a ditch.

Patio.com has the worst quality furniture on the planet. I bought a full patio set.

When you buy the furniture, everyone is so sweet but when there's a problem, that another story. If you speak to the owners, David and Mitchell Ross, they could care less. They were rude and unaccommodating. DO NOT SHOP HERE!!

Why would you pay for overpriced, poor quality furniture? Two months after I bought the furniture, a Patio.com truck cut me off and I veared into a ditch.

The truck never stopped to see if I was o.k. Now is that a sign or what?

I had the same incident - a Patio.com truck cut me off and my car (new Mercedes) veered into a pile of rocks on the side of the road. I tried complaining to the owners, David and Mitchell Ross by phone and email and they were unresponsive!!

DON'T SHOP HERE. I hear the furniture is overpriced and JUNK!!! Especially after this nightmare experience, I wouldn't give them a cent of my money!!!

The damages to my car were were almost $1,000 dollars! It says a lot about the company when the owners don't care about their customers just the mighty dollar!!!!

I had the similar experience with Patio.com. We spent $200 per chair (was told original price $300) for 8 chairs.

After opening the box, we discovered all chairs were defected and no one has acceptable quality with its price. The sales person made a big deal to exchange the products.

After exchanging chairs from different manufacture, we again received two out of eight chairs were defected. It is a rip off.

Did not assemble a table

AI Highlights
  • - I paid for table assembly and delivery.
  • - The table arrived unassembled.
  • - A chair could not be sold because it comes in pairs.

I paid for a table to be assembled and delivered, also bought a thousand dollars worth of patio furniture. The table was in a box unassembled, I called the store and they just added back 10.00 to our credit card.

Over the years we have bought hundred of thousands of dollars from Lowes as we have built many homes for sale.

I tried to buy a chair and the clerk said he could not sell it to me that they came in pairs, the other one was already gone. I went the next day and bought it from another clerk.

Delivery service suck from www.patiofurnitureusa.com

AI Highlights
  • - NET SHOPS quoted 25–28 Aug; Bax Global gave Sept 2.
  • - Attempts to expedite failed; back-and-forth between shippers.
  • - Event had to be canceled.

I placed an order with them, actually the company name is NET SHOPS, they send me an e-mail with estimate delivery dates between 25th to 28th of Aug/08 but they use Bax Global to do the last part and on Monday I received a confirmation that the cargo was shipped out but when I call Bax Global to confirm the delivery date they told me Sept, 2nd. I buy this patio furniture for an event that I was planned for Saturday 30st, based on the initial delivery dates.

When I call Bax Global to expedite the delivery (no matter at what cost) they told me that I need to coordinate with NET SHOP which is the shipper (in shipping industry the shipper is the one who has the authorization to make any change on the cargo, that is normal), the worst part was when I called patio furniture customer service (funny ha) to ask for that, they said can do nothing when the cargo "was shipped" and told me to talk with Bax Global, and again they Bax told me to contact NET SHOPS "again", I also send them an e-mail but no answer; I feel like a Ping Pong ball with out results so far.

It is amazing that I can not change the delivery to received my cargo earlier and the most unbelievable is as a smart people and because I make a complain they withdraw the charge on my account which was a debit pending (you know until they confirm that I receive the cargo) to avoid any further claim. What a clever they are.

At the end of the day and to be safe I have to cancel the event and make the ridiculous with my clients and friends, that really looks bad.

For the records, I know Bax Global was right, just the shipper can make changes on a shipment.
