Broken Promises, Missed Deadlines and Emotional Distress

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

We hired Pathway Patient Advocates (PPA) and Dr. Borrelli after an initial consultation that cost $400a session that seemed thorough and promising.

They laid out a polished, detailed, time-sensitive roadmap for coordinating with the Mayo Clinic and supporting a long-term disability (LTD) claim. The consultation was full of confident assurances, timelines, and actionable next steps that gave us hopeand led us to pay an additional $849 for services they assured us would be delivered.

In total, we spent $1,248. In return, we got broken promises, missed deadlines, and emotional distress.

Despite being told time sensitive work would begin immediately following our April 4 meeting, none of the agreed-upon actions were completed, and we received no communication. Then, on April 11, we were sent an invoice for additional feesthis time for reviewing FMLA documentation and related correspondence.

However, the FMLA process had already been completed and was outside the scope of our agreement.

Mayo Clinic, time sensitive, coordination never occurred, even after we granted full portal access and walked them through the steps. LTD, time sensitive, support and strategy materials were never provided. Two summary documents they claimed were completed on April 4 were not delivered until late in the evening on April 18after our emotionally upsetting calland only following multiple follow-ups. Even then, the documents were incomplete, inaccurate, and clearly thrown together in haste.

They did not reflect the preparation or detail that had been promised.

Worse still, that April 18 follow-up call, meant to address our concerns, turned deeply distressing. We were interrupted, dismissed, and abruptly disconnectedthen told we would be billed for the call.

Despite clear, documented evidence of these failures, PPA has refused to issue a refund or take responsibility. We paid a significant sum for help during an extremely vulnerable time. Instead, we were treated like a transaction.

If you're considering PPA or Dr.

Borrelli: proceed with extreme caution.

Their polished presentation masks a complete lack of follow-through, accountability, or compassion. This experience only added to our stress and left us scrambling to do the very work we had entrusted to them.
